As a non-partisan, I saw the SOTU address as a declaration of war...

I see people who have supported a party full of politicians who wanted to do the right things, but were scared of the price they would pay in the media. Trump isn't scared to do the bidding for Americans against those who operate like they still lived behind the iron curtain.

I guess you've never seen the montages of MSM and Lefties in general parrot the exact same talking points word for word. Just saw one the other day about Schiff's closing remarks where so many in the MSM said it was "powerful and emotional". Gets the same with "bombshell", "walls are closing in". I mean who would of thought that the Democrat party would be the party of the Borg?

The best thing for Democrats to do is to keep a laser like focus on their issues: health care, education, environment, wages, and infrastructure. Don't worry about Trump; 'never interrupt when your enemy is in process of destroying himself.' Sun Tsu.

Democrats declared war on Trump long ago. Trump is not afraid to fight back and he definitely took it to the democrats in his speech. He attacked their failures and their aspirations in detail and in public. Poor democrats had nothing in response except to remain seated and to hold their applause for all the great things Trump has accomplished and Nancy couldn't contain her rage at all acting like a spoiled little girl having a temper tantrum.

No, about 50%. But I would move most of what federal government does out of federal government. To name a big one - Social spending. To name another one - all cabinet departments except those that need to be at the federal level - State, Defense, DHS, Treasury and Justice. The rest belongs in the private sector, the states and the trash can. You want to keep it all at the federal level. That is the problem.

Which one of them got the medal of freedom? They don't deserve it, either.

Yup ... "Our primary goal is to ensure he's a one-term president."

Oh, wait, the Senate Majority Leader said that, about Obama.

Seriously, it's a two-way street. This is why we can't have nice things.

A one term president is always the goal of the opposition, an attempted coup is an entirely different agenda.

Please point to the part in the constitution where it says the primary job of the senate is to oust the competition.

Each new 4-year term gets worse then the previous. The next time a D is in the big chair, you can be rest assured that the republicans will up the ante on the vitriol. And the cycle will repeat until the people step up and say "no more."

McConnell: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.

When the #1 senator says the senate's most important initiative is to oust Obama, it's very telling about how the politicians view their job, and it's got nothing to do with America or it's citizens. There's not a single elected person in DC who cares about America. They only care about themselves. That goes for Obama, Trump, Clinton, Pelosi, McConnell, and the rest... every single one of them hates the people. We are just pawns in their struggle for power & money.

I really wish we could accomplish that goal. Congress always has catastrophically low approval rates, but for some reason the locals have been brainwashed to believe that the problem isn't with "my guy" but "those other guys" We could wipe a massive chunk of incumbents off the map in the next election and clean out the rest of the senate over the next two, but we keep re-electing these clowns.

I've said this before, give me an independent (a real one) with a pulse and a $300 suit and I'll vote for them in a heartbeat, zero hesitation. I'd do it for the house, senate, and i've already done it for potus, but unfortunately only 3% seem to have the same view that I do, which makes it semi hopeless, and extremely frustrating.

Seems like there's a tremendous amount of money involved in the parties, not sure why some mega billionaire doesn't decide to just make the independent party a real thing, I think the money would flow in. I'd never even consider donating to RNC/DNC but i'd for sure throw some coin at the INC, just to get the ball rolling, and my vote would be a sure thing.

I wouldn't disagree with his assessment of the situation. The longer Obama was in office the more damage he could inflict on our country. More riots and looting, more executive orders, more money given to terrorist countries, more bad energy policies........

every time you guys make the claim of a coup, to describe a specific constitutionally approved process, you look silly.

"drain the swamp" was the declaration of war.. everything since, merely another squirmish in that war.
