    that's a two way street... both parties are guilty of fraud... always been that way...

    no one is defending the gop here, we're defending the constitution and our way of life...

    then you better be 100% against Trump and him interfering with justice. The GOP enabled a tyrant and you complain that the popular vote will destroy the country. Trump was given the green light to violate the constitution and the laws of the nation because the GOP said we will not hold you accountable!

    A “pure” democracy - with every citizen voting on every law - is unworkable.

    But Switzerland has a lot of direct democracy and they seem pretty stable.

    Because it would still give individual states some power.... but would still be more representative of the will of the people overall.

    Granted, it would probably end up mirroring the popular vote, but no guarantees..

    I've run the numbers going back to Ike.... The only 2 elections that would have been reversed based on that methodology were the 2 the D's lost to the EC - Gore 2000 and Clinton 2016.

    Also, I really think it could boost voter turnout... Right now, there is no reason for D voters to show up in places like Alabama or Louisiana or R voters in NY or CA....

    Yes people pay into a system and then retire to low tax states.. "Interesting" isnt it..

    I wont bother going over the evidence of this because for those that trot out your tired talking point you dont want to know the truth.. Just rehash the same crap over and over again to make yourself feel better.

    Nothing says making every vote count like having an entire states vote be decided by another state.. Bravo Progressives for proving my point yet again...

    Pay into the system?
    Like employers do for unemployment insurance and people do for social security and medicare? Yet they are both deemed entitlements and prone to cuts under republican budgets.
    Can’t have it both ways...

    The only way you can achieve a balanced budget is to equalize spending and revenue.. Of course cuts have to be made ( across the board imo)

    I'm not trying to " have it both ways"..

    Trump is leading in VA polls.

    It will never happen short of a Constitutional Amendment. The EC is working exactly as the Founders intended. Some were from VA.

    The people of the United States have never voted in a Republican or a Democrat.

    Most red states have lower tax rates. I don't care if the money comes from federal or state taxes. Both are overreaches by a government.
