The Cajun way is very spicy. They usually add Zatarains crab boil and lots off it. Bit I don't use those spices much. But I will dil the tails in cocktail sauce after they are peeled.

No one worth their weight in New Orleans would dare skip
this step ,when consuming a mess of crawdaddy's.

I don't eat mudbugs, but like Foolie, I caught em in creeks when I was a kid. I find it fascinating that PC is raising em. I'd be tempted to tie a piece of bacon on a string and, well... you know. ;)

They are fascinating animals. They may have the ability to clone themselves. Some crayfish have 3 sets of chromosomes. They are all still alive as far as I know. When the water warms up I may see more of them at once. My wife is gonna let me get 5 Australian crayfish as soon as it warms up some. But I do have a tropical tank set up with feeder guppies in it.

At best { best conditions of the water, tank etc. } what would
5 donor crawfish generate under ideal condition. How many offspring.
My One Grandfather who was a Master Sportsman { Hunting,Fishing and
Scouting } in the State of Ohio, raised guppies when he got older.
I think he had like 4 tanks.I never understood his fascination.
In his attic he had a variety of stuffed animals he hunted.Even a huge
    White Owl.Probably 3 or 4 foxes,numerous squirrels.Deer,Pheasant,ducks.
I remember him recounting during a visit for the Christmas holiday,
his latest scouting attempt. He had been tracking a Bobcat for a couple
days.He ended up breaking a finger because he tripped and his
    rifle finger got jammed.

    • Guppiess are great little fish. A regular fashion plate of variety. I am partial to the snakeskin guppy.

Out of five it depends on the number of males to females. But a female should average 100 babies per brood. They can be sexed by observation but I ain't tried it yet.

You don’t have a problem with ice cubes that look like frozen non fat milk but won’t eat a crawfish? I swear.

Putting ice in beer is sacrilege. I wouldn’t dine in such a place.

Southerners also like mater (southern version of tomato)gravy too. Mater gravy over rice is great.

Never heard the word { mater }. Now in Kentucky there is Red Eye Gravy.
For use with the many Country Hams that are sold.Which are hard as
bowling balls and have a crust that has to be washed down real good
to rid the molded outer crust.

No mater gravy I ever heard of in Texas. Must be a LA eastward thang. We have cream gravy over our rice. LOL, reminds me when I was young & poor and had to wait til payday to buy Dog food, I'd cook em up some rice & water gravy. My uncle called it Hush Puppy. Dogs loved it!

Slight cold snap in my area. Therefore I won't be cooking up any
    snow peas,that's fer sure.I mean,like any time soon.Or hopefully
having to take a leeks outside in the cold.Thank goodness warmer
weather is inn store for the weekend. Not just the General Store
where the likes of *Somerset Frisby have been sorely missed.
Somerset had a way of spinning the tallest of tales. His customers
being close friends and as down to earth as fixin' up some nice turtle
soup.Or having to put up or shut up with Frisby's latest tall tale.
Each one noticeably more inventive and outlandish.Which helped
pass the time in Frisby's world.Of his own delightful making and beyond.

    * From the Twilight Zone episode :
    - Hocus-Pocus and Frisby - { April 1962 }
