Very smart. NASCAR is the largest spectator sport in the world with a 75 million fan base 60% male & 40% female. It is also the number one spectator sport in the USA and the second most televised sport.
I much prefer drag racing myself. You may have seen the recent photos of KALITTA Air transporting coronavirus patients back to the USA. It was started by a drag racer, Connie Kalitta and his nephew. Connie's been racing since the 1960's and is now worth well over $200 million. Ever used Lucas Oil or maybe have seen decals on most race cars? They were dirt poor until they started working with race car drivers. Now Lucas is a self made billionaire.
Demolition Derby's are fun to watch but is county fair stuff. NASCAR and NHRA is big business. Half of Fortune 100 companies invest in the racing league, and more than one in four (28%) of Fortune 500 companies invest in NASCAR. A multi-billion dollar per year business just in ad revenues.
I wonder if trump ever drove any car? I imagine pres trump has lots of Nascar fans as voters too. Obama's god and guns crowd and Hillary deplorables. Just common working people that the dems once represented. and stood up for . When the dems under Clinton and the old precursor to the dnc stopped representing the common man they thought these people would still vote for dems for as was said where would these people go? Well many went for trump and beat the party who once stood up for working people. . Poetic justice.
Trump makes a conscious effort to get out there and present himself to every day people. It works and will pay off for him. It's sad that the Dems feel they are so above the ordinary every day person to even bother. They'd rather just sit back and unduly criticise.
Should be interesting.Obviously Donald J. Trump is NOT a man to fool around with tools and get his hands dirty. In fact,I think it was revealed he had a sort of hand fetish. Not a Teddy Roosevelt type, either. I wonder if he still knows how to drive a vehicle. He can't have a stand-in double do the driving for him.So he'll have to somehow take little lessons. But then the Press tails him like some TV Cop show.So he'll have to also learn how and when to sneak away for them lessons.Unless he goes real slow and never gets out of first gear. It'd be kinda neat if he stalls out the engine. He'll probably have a nifty driver seated in the passenger seat making sure he doesn't get too cocky. But then he'll have to put on one them Evil Knievel jumpsuits.Right there could be a problem.Trump is also Not an easy man to Dress.
Can't he just tweet in 'Start your Engines, Witchhunt!!' Darn, now I won't be able to watch my 137th favorite sporting event of the year... I'm bummed...
Because when you come right down to it, who doesn't think lifelong New York Billionaire (maybe) when you think of NASCAR?? Maybe next year, President Pete can do it?? He'd be a real hit in that set, I suspect....
I don't know enough about the makes, just the type of racing. F1 has all the technologies, of acceleration, braking, handling, etc.
The world record pit stop for four tires and fuel is 1.82 seconds and held by Red Bull. The tech is outrageous on some of the teams.
Why do you worry about such trivial and meaningless things? Of all the crap he pulls, with his endless attacks on the Constitution and the foundations of liberty, you worry about a stupid freaking race.
Their pit stops(while fast) are pretty lame. Here’s a video showing the difficulties in the different classes(F1 has it it the easiest by far, as they don’t allow fuel mid race since 2010 and everyone(all 14 or so of them) is all set up ready to go, the red bull record is for four tires only BTW):
As an aside, there's a specific reason that those particular aircraft were used. They're literally cattle cars. Urine is highly corrosive to aluminum, and those aircraft have special boxed interiors that can be washed out / fumigated / disinfected.
There's a good reason for not refuelling in a hurry. Changing tyres in under 2 seconds is still pretty impressive. Races can be won or lost by the slightest mistake.
