I've told this before but it needs repeating. The very first Rock Band
I saw was The Allmond Bros.In Dayton.I went to The university of
Dayton because it was a Catholic University and also because Playboy Magazine
, rated it The Biggest Party college in America.I went to U of D as a straighty
and after just one month became a Hippie.Never smoked a joint until Dayton.
I saw The Allmond Bros. with Duane Allmond. They used 2 drummers.
    He Died sometime that fall.On his Motorcycle.A Year later { almost to the day}
Bass Player Berry Oakley died also on a motorcycle.

I thought Allmond sounded, well, a little nutty.

Since the rain has been almost nonstop here, the lake has been rising quickly. And for those who forgot to anchor in their beached watercraft or floating docks, looking 'down stream' may enlighten you as to where your personal goods went.... in our cove.

This weekend provided a paddle boat (very nice!) parts of a dock, two coolers and a bag of garbage. I've posted out on FB and another local website that something floated in, hoping the owners would actually look to see if someone found their paddle boat. If no response, then I will call it in to the police department. Figure if no one has claimed it by Memorial Day, we've got a new summer flotation device.....

*We live on a TVA lake, where the original river still has a current that affects the lake.

It is just tomatoes fried into a gravy. When the garden produces too many tomatoes you can always make what everyone calls "mater" gravy. It is very good over rice..

It's the same Gravy used for the traditional Chicken Fried Steak.
There's some Joint in Texas known for their Chicken Fried Steak.
Made the same way for decades.I gotta tell ya,I wouldn't mine me
    a mess of them viddles.

Every restaurant in Texas advertises the best chicken fried steak you have ever had, it is their claim to fame. You ain't had the best chicken fried steak till you get it in Texas. They also make the best cream gravy.

Spent the long weekend around Morro Bay visiting my dad. Had the obligatory clam chowder in a bread bowl. Weather was picturesque.

But there is one place that was featured on some TV highlight show.
It went right into the Kitchen and the head person { I think a family
member of the original owner } went thu the process of picking out
the particular grade of Beef used. How it's scored and then tenderized
put away in the frig for use later in the day. They use a special machine to
tenderize the beef.Which is one of their secrets.
Then cook up with I think butter which adds flavor.BTW ... Butter
is not as bad as we've been told. It's Margarine that's bad.
So if PF ever has some Poster by the Name Margie, then watch out.
Not to be confused with the early 50's TV show ... :
    - My Little Margie - { before my time }.

Good morning, fans of Tues. Misting rain and turning colder by noon. Make us pay for having 2 80 degree days in a row.

Guess I will have to change my travel plans. I was planning a trip to Big D (do they still call it that?) to see the latest tourist attraction. Guess they are going to take a wrecking ball to it this week.

Been considering going to the Georgia aquarium. They say it's the biggest aquarium in the western hemisphere. Been to the aquarium in Gatlinburg. It was a wonderful experience. Loved the seahorses and jellyfish best. My wife loved the butterfly room.

I don't know from Aquarium but I gotta tell ya,every time I hear
that late 60's Band The 5th Dimension and their Age of Aquarius
song I wanna get as far away as possible from dat song.
Think what Duane And Greg Allman and Dickie Betts felt like
when dat song peaked.Probably felt like throwing away any and
all hallucinogins and headin' straight for their favorite bar.
