    This headline should read,

A thousand Democratic former prosecutors and other DOJ officials call on AG Bill Barr to resign

They can get in the failed Spygate and failed Impeachment line

I'd go all in on a bet that wagers over 1000 former Republican (lets be honest this a partisan thing) prosecutors/DOJ employees would have agreed that AG Holder should have resigned during his years.

But why should AG Barr resign? What did he do that you think so wrong? From my understanding his subordinates told their boss, Barr, that they would be recommending a sentence fitting of the crime and Barr agreed. However these subordinates then went rogue and recommended something completely different and so outrageously absurd that Barr had no choice but to slap it down. And honestly, do you really think 7 to 9 years is justified here? Do you know that the average sentence for rape is between 7 to 9 years, and the average time served around 4.5-5? Does this sound like justice to you? Or does it sound like retaliation? Be honest.

BTW these recommendations have no real weight in the court, ok, they are a courtesy between the DOJ and the court and it is the judge, and only the judge, that prescribes a sentence - save for mandatory minimums but that doesn't apply here. I read these notions in the media that these valiant dedicated prosecutors /sarcasm were somehow robbed of their just reward by AG Barr yanking their bogus recommendation. Truth is it was never their place to decide what the sentence was going to be, not even close. Their job was done their purview was met.

Media and Democrats are suggesting a miscarriage of justice occurred because these rogue prosecutors didn't get to do something that was never their right do do in the first place. Odd given that the real miscarriage here has likely occurred with this business of these few jurors broadcasting their bias whilst under an oath to be impartial. Where is the media on that I ask you?

I don't know one way or the other about that. What I do know, because I saw him say it, is that Trump is making it impossible for him to do his job. Well, the fact is Trump is not going anywhere, so if Barr cannot do his job (as he has said) then he must resign.

Getting a new AG won’t solve the problem. And he said the tweets make his job more difficult. He didn’t say doing his job was impossible.

    Thoughts?

    He should resign. He won’t.

I wonder how many would be happy with him staying? This rather bears out the assertion that the establishment is out to get Trump and have no regard whatsoever for the ordinary American people.

I have no idea whether he has.

But, if it is impossible for him to do his job, he should resign. How can any person stay in a job even they say it is impossible to do?

The good news is that they are "former" DOJ employees.

Trump is the one setting the precedent, and his followers are allowing him carte blanche.

How many call on him not to resign. These type of articles are always dumber than dumb. 1,000 wow is there 10,000 that don't think that way?

Hmmm I seem to remember Obama calling the Hilary investigation when it first began?

Wait...how does Barr staying - in direct opposition to the stated position of these former prosecutors - mean that the establishment is out to get Trump?

It is an improper reading of the data to say, "1,000 gave this opinion, so that means that the people who remained silent must disagree."

Except Nixon, using the DoJ to protect themselves.

I would take that bet - especially in light of the fact that Republicans had every incentive to collect such a signature list while they pushed for Holder to be held in contempt.

Barr should resign because he has been in office for a year and has a repeated pattern of explicitly skewing the Justice Department in a manner to benefit Trump and his associates above others. From his mischaracterizationg of the Mueller Report, his refusal to hand over the Whistleblower Complaint despite a very clear law on the issue, his refusal to even investigate the Ukrainian Allegations, and now his direct intervention into a grand total of two cases out of the thousands of sentencing recommendations proposed by DOJ officials - both of which were done specifically to benefit Trump's associates.

But a question I have for Barr defenders. What happens to your willingness to defend Barr if Trump comes out tomorrow and says that he doesn't like Barr?

    2000? Wow, what a shocker.

Considering that Donald Trump is the greatest legal mind that America has produced since Judge Oliver Wendell Holmes.

    Puzzling.
