In virtually all cases of this sort there is no motive at all. They just got a date or a time wrong or misquoted words that they couldn't remember exactly. You seem to have no knowledge of the well-known process crimes. If a suspect ls consciously lying to cover up a specific crime then that is lying to federal investigators in a real criminal sense. If a suspect testifies that he meant with so-and-so three years ago on a Wednesday yet the investigators have found out that the meeting was actually on a Thursday, that suspect is also guilty of lying to federal investigators but it is not in a real criminal sense -- it is a process crime. None-the-less that suspect can still go to prison and many have, Papadopoulus and Martha Stewart as two prominent examples.

The Senate refused no witnesses and does not have to prove a thing. It is the House's responsibility to prove their case, in part helped by their witnesses. If they don't have such witnesses, this is officially know as tough s__t.

The political Left produced HOURS of recorded testimony from the fourteen or so 'witnesses' they used in order to justify an impeachment and along with that they produced 27 THOUSANDS pages of documents. Cease pretending that no witnesses were called.

You are confusing "lie" with "mistake"? Why is it I only see people on the right confuse those two?

But now again you are implying that a jury didn't know the difference. And that can only happen if the jury is corrupt. And they judge wouldn't clarify that for them unless they were also corrupt. Once more you resort to a "corrupt investigators", "corrupt judge" and "corrupt jury" conspiracy theory.

You seem to have lost track of what we are discussing.

Neither of which was declared guilty because they confused the day of the week. Or anything even remotely similar.

What you say is utter nonsense! No judge or jury in the world would convict anybody to do prison time because of anything like confusing the day of the week. Unless they are a corrupt judge or jury. So you cling to your conspiracy theory.

In almost all cases the prosecutors get the suspect to plead guilty to the process crime (or in Cohen's case to a non-crime.) And they get them to plead guilty usually with threats of a massive criminal indictment, or, like in Flynn's case, to go after family and friends if they don't. Judges almost always accept plea deals no matter what the situation. Juries sometimes convict (and maybe send to prison) for process crimes. Go ask Martha Stewart.

The only lie about the impeachment is that was GOP wasn't trying to rig it. I mean for the first time in the entire history of the US a Senate held an impeachment hearing without allowing evidence to be shown or witnesses to be call

How is the weather up there in the clouds of Mars? Do you just dream up these things getting up in the morning or do you have to work at it?

I see. So the conspiracy goes beyond corrupt judges and a corrupt jury. It extends to Papadopoulos' corrupt attorneys who allowing him to sign a plea deal in which he lied about something akin to "getting the day of the week" wrong.

This is how a typical conspiracy theory runs wild. To explain away the inconsistencies and logical pitfalls, their proponents are forced to go further and further down the rabbit hole.
