The more we learn about Bloomberg, the scarier he gets. Actually, he’s a nightmare.
What if you're 86 yrs old, you've been treated for colorectal cancer, cancerous lung growths and pancreatic cancer?

And your name is Ruth Bader Ginsburg?

Yes, but none of that matters to the now TOTALLY 'The political ends justifies the political ends' philosophy embracing leadership or voters. All these years in which they collectively pretended to care about racism or bigotry, health care and etcetera issues? They are prepared to deep-six all that stuff just to win the presidency. Bloomberg actually does make Trump look saintlike in comparison and the DNC is now fully prepared to sell the nomination to him, and the formerly vocal -- on these subjects -- political Left are going to obediently vote for someone whom they had previously been taught to think of as . . . Satan. Nice!

In some respect I'm glad I'm not a twenty year old! By the time the democrats are done that generation will not be eligible to retire until they die on the job ;)

You know, Bull Conner Bloomberg is a breath of fresh air, when it comes to the left. He is only being honest....not only will they harass young minority children by throwing them against the wall, they will also kill off your parents and grandparents to save money, so they can enjoy their ivory towers.

Unfortunately Bloomberg is right. The thing is that our technology keeps improving but means that people can be kept alive longer and longer on more expensive drugs and technology. And this desire to keep sick people alive as long as possible, living miserable lives on the brink of death with the help of modern technology just isn't going to work.

Bloomberg didn't say that we won't support end-of-life care, but that we will have to pick and choose what is covered. So if we do have public healthcare, it won't cover absolutely everything. Private insurance can cover absolutely everything, there is no point to banning it from doing that if people are willing to pay for it. And supplemental private insurance can be used. And of course people can pay out of pocket. If anything private insurance already does have limits to what it covers and it was Obamacare that tried to force it to cover more. Or we can go the Bernie Sanders route and pay 3.5 trillion for public healthcare that covers absolutely everything.

So who's doing the picking and can we start with Bloomberg?

Whoever is offering the health insurance will do the picking. For public insurance, taxpayer funded healthcare, its the politicians. The more we cover, the higher the taxes. For private insurance, its the insurance company. The more they cover, the more we have to pay. And we always pay out of pocket. But we can't give unlimited free healthcare on the backs of taxpayers and insurance payers.

Former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg officially returns to the Democratic party
Billionaire Michael Bloomberg is a Democrat once more.

Bloomberg, 76, announced Wednesday that he had re-registered as a Democrat for the first time since leaving the party in 2001, in what some are interpreting as a sign that he may run for president under that party's banner in 2020.

Remember the political Left HOWLING when Sarah Palin spoke of Death Panels? Just curious to see how far back the MEMORY of leftist denials extend when predictions come to pass. Asking for a friend.

Well, if that is what you want for your parents, don't expect taxpayers to just support it all for free. That isn't even how it works now. I suggest you find supplemental private insurance or pay out of pocket. I thought conservatives agreed with this. In fact I thought conservatives wanted to reduce public health coverage.

Death panels are a myth and never happened. She lied. Nobody is saying that the government is going to force people not to get healthcare. Bloomberg's point is that we can't expect public and private insurance to cover absolutely everything. I don't remember conservatives advocating for universal coverage by law anyway.

Being realistic, I understand exactly where he's coming from, and I also understand that its not a concern of his because he has billions so If he's 95 and has cancer, he can afford to pay out of pocket.

Essentially he's saying that if you are old and not independently wealthy, then you don't deserve to fight for life on the taxpayers dime. Much easier to say when you can wipe your azz with 100 dolla bills yo.

Safe to assume that the congressional health plan wouldn't have such limitations?
