The Right just Loves making up Facts

President Obama turned around the Great Recession and created the strong economy Trump enjoys today.

The direction and Velocity of President Obama's recovery has not changed under Trump ......... maybe just weaker under Trump

Did you forget Reagan was between Carter and Bush the Elder?

Anyway, Trumpers are comparing Obama who inherited the worst recession since the Depression with Trump who inherited the longest expansion in U.S. history.
Where do you get this stuff? Obama cut taxes and his only significant program not related to combatting the recession was the ACA. Obama was remarkably restrained in his comments and how he dealt with business.
Hillary cost Democrats the White House. God knows, Republicans tried to toss it to them by nominating Trump.
You're cherrypicking data. Trump juiced the economy by adding $500b to the annual deficit. It's akin to the guy across the street borrowing for a new car, new furniture, and a lengthy vacation.
I don't share that view. Hillary Clinton blew the election.
Het biggest mistake was being a sleaze, and her next mistake was taking industrial states for granted and trying for a big win. She insulted people who supported Trump with her infamous "deplorables" comment. Geezuz, I've run local campaigns and I wouldn't think of making a comment like that, even off the cuff. Hillary planned the comment. How stupid is that?

If everyone was in food stamps, America wouldn’t have to pay for the
Republicans are willing to talk “comprehensive immigration reform” after the border is sealed. Discussing things like amnesty and citizenship before closing the border to illegal immigration would be foolish.

I'm talking about putting a stop to hiring illegals. You can worry about "comprehensive immigration reform." We can use something like the Nexus Card that can be read with a smartphone so that every employer, even those hiring domestics or casual labor, must check before handing out a job. Break the law? A huge fine. Flagrantly break the law? Jail.
Can't walk and chew? Why not do both? Stop making excuses for the Orange Oaf.

The Republicans tried walking and chewing. It didn't work ...

In 1986, Reagan came to an agreement with the congressional Dems: Reagan agreed to amnesty for 3 million Mexicans in exchange for Congress sealing the border (getting illegal immigration down to almost nothing). Reagan came through with amnesty, then the Dems walked away from securing the border. They weasled out of it.

You can't trust liberal Democrats. So there will be no immigration reform until we have a lot more border security. As far as the Nexus card goes, I'm all for it.

Good. If you can work, buy your own food. If you can work but don't want to, starve. Either way you're off food stamps.

    Great work Mr. President.

If Buchanan was more flexible with his financial policy, he could've averted the Market Crash of the late-20's and the view of his Presidency would've been different. But alas.

With Johnson, I hold that the blame goes to the wrong party. Not the President, but Congress. As the first ever President to actually eradicate US debt, all it required from there was a fiscally responsible US treasury. Alas, the States weren't fiscally responsible and undid a lot of his work, and then blamed him afterwards.

Even worse is he started allowing EBT to buy fast food. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you’re too lazy to get a job and get off of food stamps than you’re definitely too lazy to cook.

I'm really not sure how President James Buchanan (1857-1861) could have averted the Market Crash of the late-20's, but if he somehow could have 70 years early, I would have acclaimed him a genius...

More people contributing into the US Treasury and fewer people sucking the US Treasury teat.

I can dig it. It makes perfect sense.

which is irrelevant to the economic recovery. The GOP congress did not pass any legislation what so ever which aided the recovery. That all came before the GOP took majority control in 2010.

Nope it’s the reason for the recovery. Not the corrupt fraud that was the stimulus bill the dems passed to pay off donors

In fantasy land. Full employment after years of gop leadership, double digit UE after years of dem leadership. The facts are clear as day

yes, the facts are perfectly clear. Your argument remains refuted by those facts.

I think you are confusing the word facts and fantasy.

four years of Dem leaders results in double digit UE.

four years of gop leadership results in full employment.

Hrm. I wonder if these changes had anything to do with it.

    2016 (500k)
    https://www.cbpp.org/research/food-...-lose-snap-benefits-in-2016-as-waivers-expire

    2017 (benefit reduction)
    https://www.ncoa.org/blog/snap-monthly-allotment-changes/

2018 (27% cut by the budget)
    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/2/12/16996832/trump-budget-2019-release-explained

    2019 (668k cut)
    https://www.fastcompany.com/9043967...-know-about-the-trump-administrations-changes

So at least 1.2m is from cuts. Coupled with the low unemployment rate, lower benefits, and out right cuts, I can easily see 6m going off the roles as the economy has improved. Food Insecurity has been dropping since it's high in 2010.

This is known by Democrats to be a bad thing, not a good thing.
