The momentum appears to be behind Bernie who also just saw a poll from the next Caucus State, Nevada, wherein he has a 19 point lead. Consultants for rival Democratic campaigns are conceding that the true contest in Nevada is to determine who will get 2nd place or 3rd place.

The national average of the polls, from 538, also shows Bernie jumping up and overtaking the first place amongst the Democratic Candidates.

Bernie is in a very odd place. He is commanding the orbit of the more progressive wing of the party, he is raising a lot of money, and the combined performance of his more moderate rivals could, in theory, combine to be more than his arguable ceiling. The problem there is that nearly all of the more moderate Democrats have a very reasonable argument to be made for why they should stick around and that will likely continue to split the votes.

Interestingly enough, while the 538 models think Bernie has the best chance of collecting a majority of the delegates, the very close 2nd most likely outcome is that no one gets a majority of the delegates.

As nervous as nominating Bernie makes me, NOT nominating him it he’s got the most delegates, worries me more.

Nah, Comrade Bernie is going to win it outright, nobody else in their field has the organization or base popularity to beat him. Many Democrats will cry, but they'll all vote commie come November...

A Biden surrogate just resigned because she spread a doctored video of Bernie Sanders praising Communist leaders.

Bernie is less of a Communist than Trump is a Dictator.

Trump is a duly elected president and no more a dictator than anyone before him. Bernie is still a commie....

DNC runs the primary.. The face behind the DNC is none other then Hilary Clinton.. The money for the DNC is now Bloomberg ( Clinton Foundation served its purpose to bail out the DNC for the time)

There is no way in hell Bernie Sanders is winning the Primary... Same crap is going to happen in Nevada as did Iowa.

And the Democratic frontrunner is a self-avowed SOCIALIST.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Moving along, I saw the national poll earlier this morning and what struck me is how successful Nanny State Mike has been in his effort to buy the Dem nomination. After carpet bombing the airwaves with ads he's leapt into second place, and it looks like his success has come at the expense of Father Pete and Meh Klobuchar.

However, the avalanche of skeletons coming out of Bloomberg's closet leads me to believe that his campaign may not have long term staying power. We'll have to see how he's doing in the upcoming weeks as the political fallout begins to show (if it shows). I also think Quid Pro Quo Joe is going to regain his footing in the South on Super Tuesday, so that could further erode Nanny State Mike's recent gains.

Trump declared a national emergency to get access to funds for a project that Congress explicitly refused to fund. That is a sign of a dictator.

Trump fired and trashed every Justice, Congressional, and Judicial member who has dared to criticize him and he demanded and applauded his AG's intervention into a case that benefits his felonious friends. That is a sign of a dictator.

Having the Sec of Defense review and move money around is not a move a Dictator would do.

Criminal Justice reform is just that..

Tweeting the DAY AFTER AG decided to get involved in the sentencing guidelines is not a dictator move.

Democratic Socialist. But the one of the only countries on the planet where "socialism" is a bad word is the United States.

The storyline on Bloomberg is interesting. The skeletons coming out of the closet was to be expected as his Democratic Rivals (and Trump) started to view him as a true threat. Interestingly enough, I see more negative threads about Bloomberg from prominent Trump supporters on this thread that I see from our more liberal posters.

Bloomberg will face Democratic rivals on the debate stage for the first time this week and that will make a big impact, I think.

He tweeted the day before the court filing or any public statement to that effect was made.

And yes, giving his subordinate, the Sec of Defense, the power to manipulate money in direct conflict with the strings attached to the purse by Congress is a move that a Dictator would do.

AG's dont make all their decisions public .. Weak spin on your part.

I can point to Obama doing just what you called a dictator move but you will either ignore it or spin it so ......

Bernie should run 3rd party like Perot did in 1992. The DNC doesn't want him.

I don't see how it can be avoided.

Bernie will have a plurality, but not a majority.

And, then some combo of Mike, Joe and the Superdelegates will prevent the Bern.

    Everybody can see that coming.

that'll never happen, both the progs & the dems know full well that splintering off (which is what they should do) would only ensure landslide repub victories for a melllenia... it is why they bedded with each other in the first place, to pool their bases against democracy...

Still a socialist, and there are many reasons why socialism is a negative term in this country. I've got one posted in my signature.

I think the revelations were inevitable, whether Bloomberg constituted a threat or not. The reason they didn't surface earlier is because he entered the campaign later than the other candidates.

    How so?

It'll be interesting to see if Sanders and Warren have the stones to express their opposition to billionaires buying the election to Nanny State Mike's face and how he'd respond to that attack. I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Perez & Co. ordered the candidates not to go there, but we'll find out.

The DNC let Bernie in. All they can do now is live with it. If Bernie has the votes, nothing can stop him. However it plays out will likely involve ton of liberals at each other's throats. This is going to be hilarious...
