He said his stimulus would hold unemployment to 8% and then rapidly fall. Instead it soared to 10% and stayed over 8% for the next three. How was that the right path? How was his abusive use regulations which was strangling hiring and his expansion of welfare just encouraged more people onto it the right path? Obama's saving grace was the fact the Republicans were taking back the Congress and stopping the regulation avalanche, forced sequester and austierity and gave the markets some confidence to begin expanding and hiring again. It wasn't Obama that's for sure.

I already supported my argument, with citation. You’ve responded with nothing but “Nuh uh”. I called you on it to support your claims but we both know that you can’t, because your claim is proven bullshit.

Do you think they were somehow different that the one Trump has? I don't think so.
You need to get some up to date numbers. Trump only added a whopping (not) 26K manufacturing jobs in 2019. He's on the verge of going negative without a recession. Looks like Obama took his wand back. :)

    Not a Boom! A fzzzt.

    That’s what I thought.

Just so you know. Everyone with eyes can see your little chart doesn’t differentiate between temporary and permanent jobs. But keep spinning because you’re making yourself look bad.

I am struck by the desperate need for Trump supporters to ridicule and minimize the record of our only BLACK POTUS. The record is clear, the dow was around 7500 when he was elected and ended up past 20,000 when he left. Yet for some reason, Trump supporters will not give him the credit for it. I wonder why? This is what happens when a lie is repeated over and over again. It is classic propaganda to tell lies constantly until they transform into belief systems. No objective observer of the last 10 years would claim that Obama did not lead us out of a recession and possible depression. But here we are with yet another top post proclaiming that a lie is now the truth.

Don't complain the budget is not being cut if you don't support budget cuts. Which Democrat do you support who is running on cutting spending and the budget?

What was it two years previous when he and his fellow Democrats took back the Congress? And thank the FED for their quantitative easing which drove up the stock-market and last I looked Obama was not on the FED board. What has it been doing since the Republicans took back the Congress and then took back the White House without that quantitative easing?

No objective observer would state Obama led us out of a recession or his policies did so. The recession was 2/3's over when he moved to the White House and ended 6 months later before his stimulus started going into effect. The job loss rate bottomed out the month had moved to the White House and began to receded before any stimulus. He and the Democrats led us into the worst recovery and the worse unemployment in modern history

So... Obama takes credit for Trump’s economy. Does it follows, Bush should take credit for Obama’s economy? :D

What is your point exactly? Obama was a lame duck, Republicans controlled the Congress he wasn't doing much at all. We're not going to get much lower you know, you can't get to zero but we are still have strong job growth and two things are happening. We have a glut of jobs so wages are rising now and the LFPR is improving after in went over the cliff during the Democrat/Obama years. We are expected to create HUGE numbers of jobs after recessions, we didn't we slowly like a turtle we regained those jobs in spite of Obama's lack of growth policies and in fact policies that hindered until the Republicans began taking back the Congress and political power.

So which Democrat running now will do better and why?

My prediction is you have two chances of getting a meaningful answer, i.e., slim and none. Liberals don't care about job growth or rising wages. Particularly since many of the younger libs don't won't to work.

The words "turned more upward" were clear to me. I suspect they were clear to you as well. However, nice try at deflecting.

Obviously he was serving as President, so what? Are you disagreeing that the economy got better the more the Republicans took back the Congress and then the Senate and the the WH? Are you disagreeing it was the worst economic recovery in modern history and the worst employment record? The Democrats took control on 2007 when they took back the Congress and lame ducked Bush43. Are you denying that we had one of the worst economies starting a year later?

It was, but the thread is about Obama, not R's or congress.
So you also agree, Obama was pres when it turned and when it "turned more upward".

    We are all in agreement.

Then we can agree, you can't see the chart very clear?

For if you can see it clearly, the trend it's on now, started in 2014.
