Well, I think the Bern wants to make community college free, but the Ivy Leauge colleges are still probably going to be self-pay. And Bernie also wants to cut the expenses of going to college like room and board, the costs of textbooks and materials, etc. But, if it's a local community college the students could stay home and avoid many of those costs.

As far as medical goes, I'm not sure what the Scandinavian wait times are. So, I'll just take your word that the Scandanavians living in the USA are doing better. But, where are they living, in the cities or the rural township??? People who have to travel 50 miles to get medical care aren't getting a lot of it.

I care deeply about the deficit but i know we are never going to do anything about it so i focus on other issues but then I'm only a Trump fan as compared to the current Democrats.

No, i am well aware that it is not. That's why we need to pay it off. I'm also well aware no one takes it seriously andcwe are not going to pay it off. So as i said i focus on other issues.
The solution slash federal spending on other things and pay the debt.

 

In other words - raise taxes on the middle class.

 

This was already done in New York. Bernie had a talk with New York State Governer Cuomo who then had a talk with state lawmakers and they agreed to put it into the budget. If New York can do it so can the rest of the nation's states.

P.S. New York's take leaves some people out (part-time students) so I look forward to Bernie's brand of free education for the rest of us.

Well, yes. States must pay! This would be in line with a recent trend of taking federal budgets and transferring them down to the states. Even the states are doing this such as wanting to send bills from the state to the county and then town.

 

If you want to slash federal spending, than paying off the debt will save the US 10% on the federal taxes.

 

States don't pay. Taxpayers in those states pay.

 

Sounds good to me.. and after the debt is paid keep taxes where they are and makevthe government live within it's means.

One example. We play Robin Hood by providing skilled nursing care for indigents (down to their last $2,000) whose income won't cover the cost of nursing services. Is that "bad?" Should we leave them to die on the street?

The real median wage is just 7.5% higher than it was in 1979. I might add that the median wages of lower-skilled employees have actually dropped significantly.

 

And when your unwillingness to share income with poor people drives them to listen to socialists, you'll gasp when someone like Bernie Sanders is swept into office. He used to be a real socialist, you know.

 

Wealth in America is shared exceptionally well. And before you say anything else my wife and i last year made less than 15 grand. And incurred over 20 grand in medical bills. So you can take your talk about the poor and walk away.
