Did you read your own article?

"The plane did have a plastic-lined enclosure that allowed the 14 people with the virus to be separated from the others, according to the newspaper."

    What's that?

"The plane did have a plastic-lined enclosure that allowed the 14 people with the virus to be separated from the others, according to the newspaper."

Ok, that's what I thought it said.

Oh, and then there's this part:

"“These individuals were moved in the most expeditious and safe manner to a specialized containment area on the evacuation aircraft to isolate them in accordance with standard protocols,” the departments said in the earlier statement.

“Every precaution to ensure proper isolation and community protection measures are being taken, driven by the most up-to-date risk assessments by U.S. health authorities,” they added."

And then for extra good measure, there's this:

"All of the Americans evacuated from the cruise ship will be quarantined on military bases for 14 days to ensure they do not spread the disease to others."

But damn Trump anyhow, just beeeecaaaaause....... :angered:

Face it, you folks would have been mad no matter how it was handled, for no other reason than because orange man baaaaad!!!!!

In the case with Obama, you will recall that he was sending United States military personnel to AFRICA to screw around in several different very dangerous ebola virus scenarios that were not (NOT) even directly impacting the United States! He had no damned business subjecting our military to the dangers of the ebola virus in countries where the population was so primitive and retarded that in some places they were actually MURDERING the CAREGIVERS!

Trump? He was bringing at-risk American citizens back home from foreign countries, where they would undergo quarantine and testing! HELL of a big difference....

Thus far the Trump Administration appears to have handled the outbreak well. Provided proper precautions are taken there is no reason Americans with the virus can't be transported.

Any funding cuts to the CDC are the height of stupidity & should be strongly opposed. It is not only the leading disease research & fighting organisation in the US, it is a world leader. The work the CDC does is crucial to helping America avoid and manage disease outbreaks.

You are quite right to highlight the utterly vile behaviour of GOP supporters in 2014 & their rank hypocrisy on this topic then & now. In 2014 they attacked the Obama Administration for every single aspect of how it dealt with the crisis, including bringing at least one American with Ebola back to the US. Right on cue they have already provided to fine examples of this disgusting behaviour. Such people place themselves among the lowest of the low.

Yeah, it be far from America to try to contain an extremely deadly emerging disease BEFORE that disease made it to America!

Why, that would make sense! Why would any Republican ever want to make sense?

Obama benefitted in that the nation/continent of origin was Africa. China just recently BARELY allowed inspections. BARELY. The CCP not only failed to take any steps to contain the virus, but there's no way they would've allowed the US to do so.

    Oh bull.

We and other had information, samples, plenty of people to test and examine, even without any of our Intelligence services.

We could have everything from China and been working on it at the beginning of December and at least had some preparation!

But the billions blown by our Intelligence was wasted entirely by Trump's stupidity, cluelessness, his fear of himself might lose a little money in the stock market, and in just denial denial denial.

Geez, we could have started mask production, with saving the 10s of thousand people now dead and 100s of thousands of people sick and billions in health care wasted, only using only a portion of those pains, death, and costs!

But what is Trump and all of his nutcase followers doing? Wanting to rebuild all of our nukes with faster and more deadly when we already have enough to destroy the world 10 times, and not do ANYTHING to improve our healthcare and disease care infrastructure!

What unending idiocy! It 40 years ot has never changed with Republicans.

china committed first strike by attacking America with the virus, President Trump has to nuclear bomb them.

iran's nuclear sites need precision nuclear strikes so America can get the oil there, and its best friend Israel is nearby.

this is all rational and not 'idiocy'

Yeah, I see your point... we should send the United States Armed Forces into every third-world shithole on the planet to fix their own internal disease problems... right? Maybe a better solution would be to ban all travel to and from these shitholes until THEY fix THEIR own problems.

Sub-Saharan Africa, which has perhaps the most wretched, disease-plagued, hopelessly primitive human population in the world does not constitute a "51st state" of the United States, Dave....

In purely pragmatic terms, assessed logically, what exactly do we need Sub-Saharan Africa FOR that isn't easily obtainable nearly everywhere else...?
