How do you think such silly things as circumcision get started in the first place? Con men make up fairy tales to control their superstitious buddies and to enrich themselves. Some people started sexually mutilating their baby boys because of the fairy tale about the crazy old coot Abraham doing it to his sons and all of the guys in his camp as a sign of loyalty to an imaginary deity. Do you think whacking off a 8 day-old baby boys foreskin will save his soul from eternal damnation? You may not but billions of other idiots believe in silly crap like that.
