Well I wish you would have spoken up sooner, when Bil gave his pardons to folks like Marc Rich...and then didn’t support his wife in 2016...then I’d take your seriously

I didn’t vote for Clinton - either Clinton.
Shall I go back in time and post my outrage on Political Forum in 1999?
    Think about it, dude.

The US Goverment is equivalent to any Fortune 500 company - you’re going to argue that mid-level IRS agents make “way more” than a mid-level Microsoft programmer? Really?

Bad choice. A Microsoft engineer's pay grade is way above some IRS agent, but sadly for the taxpayer they are probably paid the same!!!!

Hopefully not. Ones in the private sector with less job security. One is suppose to be a public servant

He clearly states "under worked and WAY over paid." and that's legit! As for your comparison, I'd add their retirement is far better then mid level programmers at MS get, where Gubmint in some position get to retire at 55yo at 80% if they have 30 years vested.. Far better then the majority of many Americans, you know, the same sorry bastards that have to work to 68 so the gubbers can enjoy their retirement until they die around 80ish!

Sound fair, better then MS to you ;)

I voted for Reagan - the first term. I vote my morals, which severely restricts who I vote for, I admit.

More a comment on the quality of candidates than on me - I can live with that.

Friends? Perhaps acquaintances. Donors which ones did he pardon? Those two black grandmas were donors?

Much ado about nothing. The Democrats are humiliated and demoralized and they have reason to fear the future or the lack of one. Their days of rule by plots and intrigues are over, seasoned Dems know the game is over and that the new blood is only throwing gasoline on the fire.Trump has by every metric has made America great again, it wasn't difficult given the mess the Dems have made of things, doing anything was better than their negligent indifference. Obama effed things up so much that all Trump needs to do is pick an issue, reverse it and he's a hero. He has so much material to work with that when the Dems are on a rant about something he just switches issues, works every time. Until November we will be subjected to less juvenile antics like the Mueller thing and the Unpeachment, it will be more whining than anything else. We will not be hearing from Schiff or Nadler ever again and when we take back the house Nancy will retire. I'm confident that much of the squad will be gone, their fifteen minutes of fame is already over. The future of the Republican party is quite bright since much of it has coalesced around the president. In 2016 we took back the country and as Ben Franklin said when asked about what type of government we had he replied " A republic if you can keep it". Well we did until the evil of progressivism arose in America. I hate to repeat myself but with the last fifty plus years of covert progressive interdiction of the rule of law and overt slandering of the Constitution, America came very close to the abyss. The chilling evidence of this is the weaponization of government agencies by the Democrats to interfere in the Trump campaign and the presidency after his election and continued until the failed attempt to remove him from office. I cannot overemphasize that the Democrat party has been supplanted by communists who will if given the chance, destroy America. They have tried and will try again unless we do everything we can to prevent them from doing so. What we must do takes vigilance and commitment, a national consensus and cohesion, a solid belief in the principles of English common law and constitutionalism, anything else, any suggestion of modifying the structure of this republic is unAmerican. There are some on this forum who fear a coming defeat of America by these communists and I have some concerns myself but the events and outcomes of the last three years are nothing short of providential. For that reason alone I believe the republic will endure but we must do some heavy lifting and pursue the extinction of progressivism in America.

@God & Country - I abhor seeming a pessimist, but I share those concerns as well, though perhaps for differing reasons. The undermining of the educational system was brought about by the abject failure to teach critical thought (in the Aristotelian sense), and we've "progressed" to the point where we no longer even understand the questions being asked, let alone can we rely upon the skills of autodidacticism to ascertain them. The schism per se lies in the way in which "we" identify politically.

On a city street, with the church bells chiming the noon hour, three strangers are asked the same question: "do you know what time it is?" The first respondent is a liberal who replies, "it's noon." The second reply comes from a Libertarian who likewise says, "it's noon." The last is a conservative who says, "yes I do."

It's the motivation that precipitates each reply which needs addressing. Two respondents ignore the question completely and answer by presuming that the questioner is unable to formulate the question correctly, while the last answers without making any presumption as to the questioner's motive. Without an understanding of the basic processes of critical thought, we'll still find our lances caught up in those windmills.

Critical thinking has been deliberately left out of American public education, students are not being taught how to think but what to think. This is a national problem and in my mind criminal. Every part of the curriculum is politicized such that only one view is taught all other views are prohibited and those who still stand up for what they believe are castigated. They are bullied by teachers and their brain dead peers. We are graduating morons and sending them off to college for more of the same. The Democrats/Progressive/Communists have monopolized education to the point where only the home schooled are immune to the garbage that is being touted as education. Current high school grads were never taught and therefore are unable do to simple math in their heads or do math of any kind with pencil and paper. Cashiers are no longer responsible for calculating the change back on a purchase, the register does it for them. I am all for the conveniences of technology but one should still possess some basic skills. What's going to happen once the people who still have this knowledge are gone?

Not sure if I should laugh. I'm not even sure if I care anymore, I'm old enough that I'll most likely be gone before the **** really hits the fan. I've been around for 13 presidents and remember good things about America that no longer exist. One of those things I remember is when most Americans were conservative no matter what their political affiliation was and liberal was the extreme fringe. I still think of liberals that way and that most sane Americans do too. The left is always talking about the way forward, is there a way back?

@God & Country - Just remember the reply to Casey At The Bat: "The lane is long," someone has said, "that never turns again...."

You're a little older than I; I missed Mister Truman's tenure by an hair's breadth.

Yes. For example he pardoned one General Cartwright.

"WASHINGTON — President Obama on Tuesday pardoned James E. Cartwright, a retired Marine Corps general and former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who pleaded guilty to lying to the F.B.I. about his discussions with reporters about Iran’s nuclear program, saving him from a possible prison sentence.

General Cartwright, who was a key member of Mr. Obama’s national security team in his first term and earned a reputation as the president’s favorite general, pleaded guilty late last year to misleading investigators looking into the leaking of classified information about cyberattacks against Iran."

To be expected. They just found another tidbit in their garbage bag of impeachable offenses that might replaced the previous 40-11 failed offenses.
