Sort of like how Scalia thought that the Founding Fathers anticipated Assault Weapons?

    Got it.

Yes that is why Trump is replacing that part that has been corrupt and blatantly politicized and appointing judges who will rule based on the constitution.

Well too bad you do not understand that seriously flawed Constitution as you just got it wrong again.

I don't think so. The very essence of my point comes out of your own posts on the issue.

The founding fathers believed the current weaponry was the limit as to what could ever be developed?

You know as well as I do that whoever is POTUS, s/he will fill Courts with their own person, handpicked because, when push comes to shove, the appointee will do what POTUS expects of them...his own bidding. Rember what Mulvaney said........Trump does not write out a cheque unless he gets something in return.

What's the quid pro quo you are claiming here? They appoint persons, or at least are supposed to as Trump is doing, who are to uphold the Constitution. You are without basis accusing judges of corruption on a massive scale please do not insult my country in such a manner.

Indeed I am, and I am very open about it. Any system which allows for its Judiciary to become politicised quite deliberately is corrupt.

AGAIN how has the court become politicized by appointing judges who adhere to the Constitution? And please stop insulting my country with claims we are corrupt, it's against the posting rules to hurl such insults just to flame.

If you feel I have breached the Rules, then there is a 'report' facility I am sure you must be familiar.

Again, you prove my point. What is 'adherence' to the Constitution depends entirely on whose opinion is being given. If a decision accords with your own point of view, of course, you will deem it to be correct. If it does not, and you are a conservative, you will wail that a liberal Judge failed to adhere to the Constitution.

This is avoided if Courts are made up of entirely non-partisan Lawyers. That is impossible when they are political appointees.

The Founders were well aware of assault weapons. They had lots of them. Everything from swords to puckle guns (the first type of machine gun made in 1717) and more. Like Hand Mortars (predecessor to current day grenade launchers), revolvers (pepperbox, developed in the 1500's and got better and better from then through to the late 1700's), and in the Battle of Kings Mountain the defenders had rifled long guns.

So yeah, the Founders new very well that guns would improve more and more and they even had access to primitive forms of the same type of weapons used today.

Scalia read the Constitution, the amendments, and applied the law as it was written.

That's unlike Roe v Wade where the legal right of "privacy" (not mentioned in any document) was invented out of thin air.

If you're protected against unreasonable searches and seizures against your person, houses, papers, and effects....what would you call it? Most would call it "privacy".

Yes it worries me that people use the RUSSIA! boogeyman to deflect from McConnell's ties to China.

    It's makes me wonder why.

Lest we not forget the semi auto air rifles carried on the Lewis and Clark expedition.

You obviously meant to say Constitutionalist judges supporting the Constitution. The difference between the Left and the Right is shocking of course. One can't expect a newcomer to sane judicial decision making to 'get it' all at once. Give yourself some time.

they did considering the 1780 Girardoni assault rifle was a 22-shot, magazine-fed, .46 cal, and could shoot all 22 shots before a typical musket could get its second shot off. And Thomas Jefferson had a couple of them..

Does this mean one can no longer refer to it as the "9th Circus?"
