Well that’s typical of the climate change crowd, because just in late 2018:

The Earth is generally regarded as having warmed about about 1° C (1.8° F) since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, around 1750. In 2017, two professional papers generated much debate in both the popular press and professional literature about whether this figure is correct. Schurer, et al.argued the rise is 1.2° C (2.2° F) and Millar, et al. claimed the rise is 0.9° C (1.6° F).
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/uhener...earth-warmed-and-does-it-matter/#2427cc9d5c22
But now, Shazam! Just a year and a half later, it’s 2 degrees C!

Gotta love climate science where the only sin is not raising temperatures.

Seem pretty consistent. Maybe you should check your 2 sources.

You could drop a note to Trump via FOX News and I'm sure he could make NASA change it. :)

In the present case it's pretty much a Hobson's choice, obviously.
Not sure what you figure climatologists are particularly skilled at, but there's no evidence they're as good at predicting climate decades in advance as your local weather bimbo is at predicting the weather a week ahead.
And you know that's not a consequence of the land sinking how, exactly?

I don't need to argue with flat earthers or creationists or climate deniers. To argue would be to give them some level of credibility.

:roflol:back from vacation and I see the humor hasn't changed. This must be a case of your truth over facts.
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/truth-over-facts-biden-fumbles-during-iowa-speech
We know Lefties like to filter facts through the bizarro world version of reality. Allow me to search thru the pdf of the Mueller report.............Ah, here it is on pg 4.
Last I checked, Trump is a U.S. person. And pg 5.
As for your ridiculous conclusion of what the witnesses said, you must have got the filtered CNN version, you sure didn't watch it live and it appears you know jack about who these so called 'witnesses' are. You certainly know nothing about Turley's testimony https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politi...ng-statement-in-the-trump-impeachment-hearing which by itself debunks your claim "the witnesses uniformly testified that Trump tried to squeeze Ukraine". Only 2 of the 17 are material witnesses, most of the others were anti-Trump turds dug up according to how much they hated Trump. And then there is the 18th witness who's testimony Schiff classified because it blows his entire impeachment farce as a scam. You don't just dismiss facts, evidence and logic when it suits you, you just make crap up, just like Biden. Joe? Is that you?

If I take this graph correctly, the concentration of Carbon Dioxide has actually lowered from the "doubling of the pre-industrial level", but still larger than the pre-industrial level.

But regardless of which level, the point the graph makes is that if we weren't dead during the industrial revolution, we're likely not gonna die now or a decade from now.

Actually the graph is just misleading since the only relevant levels are from a deep ice age until today. I don't think it has ever been zero in a billion years.
Where does everyone get the were gonna die thing? Is it from Greta or OAC?
Zoom in on the part we care about and it looks more like a straight line.

The idea that a scientific debate should be conducted among non-scientist is absurd on its face. That doesn't mean anyone has to accept whatever consensus scientific opinion points to on the subject, but it does suggest that if someone is going to question any aspect of the prevailing narrative on climate change, they should begin by pointing to a legitimate scientific study on the issue that cover the point they are making. Issues of bias and such on any conflicting scientific studies on the subject can then be better addressed by non-experts without judging the latter based on any preconceived notions of their own. In other words, if study X points to doomsday on climate change, and study Y suggests the opposite or something else, instead of debating the merits of a scientific point among people who aren't scientists, lets hear the issues of bias, undue influence, self-interest or any of these other points which the general public can better evaluate on their own.

Such a scientific thing to say. So 100% of all right-wingers hate science and 100% of all left-wingers love science. How can I not be in awe of precise science skills such as that?

    Can I have your autograph?

If we were talking about most scientific theories, you'd be correct. But climate change has become so politicized that those who disagree with its dogma are hounded out of their jobs. And skeptics are denigrated as "deniers" and denied access to public airwaves.

Leaving all of the other histrionic screed aside, they really had to shop for Turley and coach him up. His views are not particularly well-received by constitutional scholars, and even he admitted that if the accusations against Bonespurs were proven, that they were impeachable offenses.

As to the testimony, yes I listed to it, and yes, the conclusions that a person reaches after listening to it aren't good for Bonespurs.

    So much for your claims.

No, as to the OP, I prefer scientific consensus to politically colored views of non-scientists on the internet.

Yup. But the politicized climate scientists are trying to scare everybody into complying with their crazy economic ideas by hiding the low temperature that will result from CO2 doubling. Instead they pull fast ones such as claiming the temperature will be 1.5 degrees C or higher because they snuck in feedbacks, which are simply guesses as to what will be thrown out of whack following a 1 degree C increase in temps that takes place over 300 years.

Hint: Not much will happen although sea level will continue to rise, winters will be milder, and weather will be more extreme. So. Not an existential crisis, just an engineering opportunity.

So up until September 2018, the generally accepted number was 1 degree C of warming since the start of the Industrial Revolution (about 250 years). Then in 2020, that number doubles and you say it seems consistent. I agree that it's consistent for a politicized "science" that has gone off the rails.

    <50 years.

Does this mean you at least acknowledge there is global warming?
Congratulations and welcome to the real world.

You are neglecting to take into account that it is getting worse as we add more and more.

    Change over time
Though warming has not been uniform across the planet, the upward trend in the globally averaged temperature shows that more areas are warming than cooling. According to the NOAA 2019 Global Climate Summary, the combined land and ocean temperature has increased at an average rate of 0.07°C (0.13°F) per decade since 1880; however, the average rate of increase since 1981 (0.18°C / 0.32°F) is more than twice as great.

Oh sure, as long as you toe the line, you can ride the climate change gravy train forever. Just make sure your numbers always go up!

But if you disagree with the science, you stand to lose your job, and in the public debate, you skepticism gets you called a "denier" and the public airwaves are closed to you.

Get real! Climate change is just another way authoritarian Leftists (but I repeat myself) are trying to grab power over our lives.

Of course it's getting worse over time! But "worse" in this case means slightly hotter than it was last year, if it wasn't for a bunch of politicized climate "scientists" with their thumbs on the scale (or thermometers).

1 degree C after a doubling of CO2 that takes place over 300 years is the baseline. Everything else is guesses at how bad the feedbacks will be. Do you really think they'll be so bad after such a small and gradual increase that the human race's existence is threatened or even seriously inconvenienced?

I guess this is why the righties are so angry. They want to live in the past.
    Update your baseline....
People are already being inconvenienced as you say.

You update the baseline. Of course it's based on physics, a field of science the climate "scientists" can't browbeat.

People build on land that's at sea level or in areas where incompetents did the civil engineering or on mountainsides susceptible to mudslides and earthquakes, should we care about their bad decisions? For people caught up in extreme weather, we are there in the aftermath to help out.

The long term answer is to get everybody on the planet uplifted to a First World status so they can use technology to protect themselves from, properly care for, and manage the environment.

I can't be a Democrat because I'm not picking other peoples' pockets and expecting the world to give me a free ride, or trying to censor free speech.
