A few years back, when the demonizing of Vladimir Putin was in full swing and Russia's economy was under attack, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts said we are heading for war. He said there were talks in Washington of a war between Europe and Russia, and how they could buy up everything afterwards.

Craig Roberts is one of the most brilliant men in the country, so to keep people from paying heed to what he was saying, he had to be discredited - which he was, mockery and all. Well here we are in 2020.

The Defender-Europe 20 Nato maneuvers are starting. It will be held in 10 European countries with 40 thousand troops. This is the largest transfer of troops from the US to Europe in more than 25 years. This is the first time an American division will be transported to Eastern European countries and actually be located on the Russian border. 37,000 soldiers and 35,000 military vehicles will be transported eastward through Germany.

Of course the American lackeys in Eastern Europe are allowing it even though they will be the recipients of Russia's counter attack - but do they have a choice?

Russian generals are thinking over options for defense in such an environment and adjusting their future actions in case of military aggression against them.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Russia would not leave these maneuvers without attention. “Of course, we will respond. We cannot ignore processes that are of great concern. But we will react in such a way that it does not create unnecessary risks”, Lavrov said.

And if Russia and Europe get into it again...

... where does that leave the US?

Why would either the European allies or Russia both of whom have severe economic problems at the moment want to get 9nto a war neither can afford? They all have declining populations with far more dying than being born, why would either side want to speed the process??

We're just the instigators and not the participants, so we'll sit back and watch the fireworks and then buy up everything when it's all over.

The Europeans don't want war, they're not crazy. We're pressuring them to provoke Russia and some Nato members are actually objecting.

    And then there's this:

Due to the tension between Russia and Turkey, transport aircrafts will be carrying the nukes at Incerlik in Turkey to Germany, Poland and a Baltic state.

The Western "leadership" would love that. Send off millions of ethnic Europeans to die and replace them with wonderful culturally enriching people from the third world. Keep in mind the white population of the world is only 10%, probably 9 by now.

No one is going to war in Europe.

Military exercises are common, very common. They are required for training purposes. If anything they prevent wars as they allow both sides to realize what they would have to fight in a conflict. It's a training exercise nothing more, not a massing of troops to invade the Mother Land or provoke them into a war. They are held all over the world by US Forces all the time. I've been on a number of them, it's nothing new.

And what is it with the left? Is Trump Putin's puppet or not? You say he is, but massing US forces along the border of Russia does not seem like something Putin would want. If Putin wanted Eastern Europe he could "order" Trump to stand down as he took it, if he could. I think he would get his buttocks kicked if he tried and it would not have to be by US Forces.

This is the same level of silly as the national media stories on the draft coming back to the US after we turn slami into a puddle of goo. And yes I spelt his name incorrectly because he deserves nothing better.

Indeed, Russia is primarily a heavily armed gas station, and Trump is knocking their ushanka hats off by encouraging American fracking, which has been keeping world energy prices low, which makes the price of Russian energy low, and which reduction in profits makes them far less able to invest in their military.

    :frustrated:
“Fracking” has spread rapidly, leaving a trail of contaminated water, polluted air, and marred landscapes in its wake. In fact, a growing body of data indicates that fracking is an environmental and public health disaster in the making.
    Rather make peace with Russia.

No one is attacking Russia with 35000 troops. No one who isn't looking to be immediately routed, anyway.

I would think the US is trying to exploit differences in opinion in Europe from some of the countries which used to be part of the USSR and do not feel trust for Russia to Western Europe where it looks like countries may start to move towards Russia due to the possible break up of the EU supported by both the US and Russia and the move away from the US hastened by the actions of Trump. Europe has no desire for war with Russia and certainly Western Europe is more moving closer towards stronger alliances with Russia and reduced ones with the US. I suspect the US is exploiting the fears which some Eastern Europe States particularly Poland have for Russia to encourage tension in the area and I am sad to say that if war was created, the Trump admin would be more than happy. Western Europe however is thinking more independently than it has for the past 70 years and is unlikely to just sleep walk into a trap.

    Ha! Look who's talking.
The US bought the Louisiana purchase from France.
The US bought the rest of Florida from Spain.
The US bought the Mexican territories north of the Rio Grande.
The US bought Alaska from Russia.

Don't know much about the Trump admin do you? Why would Trump try to start a war with Russia? If anything, it's the Democrats who keep sabre rattling with their fear mongering of Russia. Trump pulls troops out of Syria, suddenly the Dems become war hawks. I'm seeing articles talking about the Dems trying to push Trump into attacking Iran after they shot down our drone. But when he found out Iranians would be killed in the raid, he cancelled it. Does that sound like someone trying to start a war in Europe?

They will believe anything spoon fed to them by the MSM puppet masters.

Trump gets NATA members to increase military spending.
    Trump gives Ukraine ATGM's.
Trump imposes toughest sanctions yet on Russia.
Trump presses Europe to stop buying energy from Russia.
    Trump bombs Syrian bases.
Trump sends ABM's to Poland. I'm probably missing something....

    on the other hand,

Obama goes on apology tour in Europe making us look weak.
Obama refuses to send weapons to Ukraine, for them they can fight with blankets and MRE's.
Clinton foundation gets $145M from Putin
Billy boy gets a cool $1/2M for a short speech in Russia.
After Obama's flexibility, he cancels ABM aid to Poland so as not to upset Putin. (But Trump isn't allowed to delay aid at all)
Obama does nothing as Russia invades and annexes the Crimea.
Obama does nothing as Russia's ally Syria crosses Obama's red line multiple times.

And the Left claims Trump is the puppet. :roflol:

Poor Russians. I feel sorry for them. Forever reaching out to the West but being rebuffed.
Russians were attacked by Syrians and Ukrainians. NATO planes began probing their defenses.
America began building short range nuclear missiles. Neurotoxins and polonium were used
to murder innocent Russians. US hackers interfered in the very fair Russia elections. The
Americans even murdered opposition figures and journalists in Russia to cover their tracks.

The Dems and everyone else uses being a Russia asset at anyone they want to have a go at not noticing that people notice that is what they are doing whether Trump, Corbyn or Sanders Goddard or anyone else. Trump however has been more warmongering to Russia than most recent Presidents. He is clearly not a Russia lover.

Why choose him. He is your President. If something is being arranged who else do you expect to be doing it? He is also the person who seems to have lost Western Europe as an alley of the US.

Trump seems to be on bad terms with Germany for some reason, and he doesn't like Macron much either, but he's just upset the apple cart of the US paying more than their fair share of defense and getting into trade agreements that put us at a disadvantage. Those who benefit from unfair deals will often throw a hissy fit, but they will get over it.

Germany will certainly become militarily strong again. This was about people spending more on their own military. I do not see how them not having a bigger military means they are benefiting from the US.. It was the US who has been starting wars here there and everywhere. Europe has not been interested in this.

Things have changed. The US has shown itself not to be loyal to treaties it signs. The US has threatened Europe with sanctions if they keep said treaty and of course has been sanctioning Europe for other things. I do not expect NATO to last much longer - one of the reasons why Europe is talking about its own army...like I said Germany is becoming and soon will be a very strong military - all to please the US :). I think Western Europe is moving away and whatever this OP is about could be a symptom of US reaction to that.
