You see only one side of this issue. FOX NEWS is the extremist conservative propaganda wing of the Republican Party.

When a corporation vs a single individual in a court system, that individual's rights are consistently being overwhelmed by corporate rights. It happens all the time. The founders were highly supportive of business, but they never had any concept that one day a business would be granted rights equal or above those of individual citizens.

Just too bad that the high court is influenced by political ideology

And that such ideology affects how our constitution is being interpreted . Is it really that vague as a document that allows ideological beliefs to determine law ?

    1. When Thomas Jefferson wrote the concept of human rights into the Declaration of Independence & the framing fathers added the Bill of Rights into the U.S. Constitution, they never implied those rights belonged only to Americans. They were stating a universal truth. Being human itself is enough to grant the right to "life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness." I would regard the actions of these people arriving at our southern border as fitting into that description. Up until Trump, our country has welcomed most of them. But Trump has used immigrants as a focal point to divert attention of the public away from more sinister things he's doing, much like Hitler did with the Jews when he came to power.
    2. Yes, we do have the right to define the parameters we will accept from potential immigrants, & I fully support that process. But we don't & never will have the right to ignore the universal human rights those individuals have as human beings, while we process their applications. No, they don't have the right to "four star treatment," as you say, but they DO have the right to be treated with humanity, compassion & dignity. Helping those not eligible to return home would be a lot cheaper for the American people than extended incarceration. Being humane makes a lot more sense regarding this issue than being invective.

I don't actually want a "political" court, but that's exactly what we have. Look at the political shenanigans carried out by McConnell in 2015 & 2016, to avoid allowing Obama's moderate nominee from being considered or even discussed. All that was based on politics, not the Constitution, which gave Obama both the right & the responsibility of offering a nominee. Obama upheld his responsibility. McConnell ignored his.

There is no "human right" to enter this country, you do so at our pleasure. That's the law. We deal with people who break that law as law breakers, they have no right or claim of any such right to be here. There is no universal human right to live in the United States.

That wasn't a matter of the court that was a matter of the Congress and if the Democrats want to play hardball you can expect the Republicans to play to the same level.

So if they don't agree with your interpretation of the Constitution it must be because they are idologs? I mean you presented nothing else. It's either you interpret the Constitution as it is written or you don't. Which side do you fall on?

You just said that you want social and political factors to play into courts decisions. The Senate is not the court. Do you now withdraw your statement that you want courts to make their decisions based upon factors that include social and political considerations.

    Here's her real reason:
Sotomayor wrote of the frequency with which the conservative-controlled Court grants the Trump administration stay applications—allowing Trump policies to go into effect even after they've been blocked in the lower courts. “Claiming one emergency after another, the government has recently sought stays in an unprecedented number of cases, demanding immediate attention and consuming limited court resources in each,” wrote the justice. “And with each successive application, of course, its cries of urgency ring increasingly hollow.”

She's a lazy Obama judge that doesn't want to work. Let the lower courts decide for the entire country. She doesn't want to be bothered.

The Globalists are the faction in between the Conservative Nationalists and the Populist Socialists. They are losing everything they gained since 1995. They are commonly known as Progressives. (Both DNC-E and GOP-E are included)

Once the courts are secure, many illegals are going to start to leave.

Sotomayor is the most partisan member of the Supreme Court.

Having her call out the right is like Rosie O’Donnell calling someone fat & ugly.
