That's only because he hasn't had a chance to visit...every other socialist regime he's visited he's praised.

He was complimenting the leader, not their system. It's part of negotiating, or would you rather he trash him to his face?

The UK's NHS is notorious for its "efficiency".

"LONDON (AP) — A 4-year-old boy in a Spider-Man top lying on a hospital floor took center stage Monday in Britain’s election campaign, as the opposition painted his plight as a symptom of the country’s ailing health system and branded Prime Minister Boris Johnson heartless for avoiding looking at his photo." ...

"Jack’s mother, Sarah Williment, told the Mirror she covered him with coats to keep him warm as he awaited assessment at Leeds General Infirmary last Tuesday. Rushed to hospital amid fears he had pneumonia, Jack was eventually diagnosed with flu and tonsillitis and sent home."
AP, Boy on hospital floor dominates Britain’s election campaign, By MIKE CORDER and JILL LAWLESS, 12/9/19.

Government is the problem. The less of it, the better.

If everyone were responsible for their own ****, peoples decision making would drastically change.
But as it stands now, you can always be bailed out.
I just wish that one day, everyone would be responsible for themselves.

Not sure why that's such a hard concept to grasp. You took out student loans? Pay them back. You racked up medical bills? Pay them. You're underwater on your mortgage? Oh ****ing well.
I've attempted to make deals with every person who believes in more government... it's a simple deal.

    You ready?

I'll be responsible for my own **** if you're responsible for yours.

Fairly cut and dry, but so far I've yet to have anyone accept. I understand the hesitation... you want what I have; there's no other way to put it. You want my house because you live in a **** hole. You want my truck because you have to take the bus.

You (not you specifially) want and want without realizing that I once lived in a **** hole and took the bus, but I dont anymore because I worked for the nice things that I have. While my friends went out on weekends, I worked. I paid down debt and saved, but now that I have nice things after YEARS of sacrifice, I'm supposed to share those things with others who didnt work for it?

Nah. You can call it being heartless or whatever, but everyone is responsible for their own life choices. If you **** it up, government shouldnt be expected to save you.

Like I said, I've yet to see anything government run that has been run well. The post office, social security, the VA healthcare system... all over budget and in shambles. You see THOSE programs and think "yeah, I'd like those people to take care of my healthcare, too?"

    I ****ing don't.

Heck, look at the DMV. In my state there's a private competitor set up called MVD Express. If only there was one for the USPS.

And Bernie complemented a literacy program. Why don’t you want Cubans to be literate?

Yes, he praised Castro's policies...that's sort of the issue here. He wasn't encouraging Castro to end a nuclear missile program.

More on the great education program Castro brought to Cuba that Sander's loves:https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/news-columns-blogs/fabiola-santiago/article240425431.html

    "
The girl is 8 and in the third grade, the daughter of a beloved and respected teacher forced to resign over her refusal to teach Communist dogma to her students. (More on the mother later.)

Her father, a merchant of flour goods, sees his small, one-man business operation confiscated, and when he declines to continue to operate it as an employee of the state, he is sent to work in the agriculture fields as punishment."

"The girl has never scored below a 96 on any test.

She’s No. 1 on the honor roll — and the principal wants her to wear the state-mandated red scarf of the Communist youth organization, los pioneros, or she’s out. Her parents refuse. Her mother is called in for a conference. The women argue.

The truce: The price for not wearing the pañoleta is being knocked down to second place for lack of revolutionary spirit. The top spot will go to a boy who is an eager and loyal pionerito (like decades later, a returned Elián González would be, too)"

"Because the “free education” in Cuba isn’t free, and the Castro literacy program the American left has bought into is rooted in indoctrination and devotion to the one-party political system."

He went on to praise Communist China today, claiming it's lifted more people out of extreme proverty, then any other nation in the world....more like keep people in extreme poverty.....

    The post office.
    Social Security.
    The VA.
    The DMV.
    Medicare and Medicaid.
    The war on drugs.
    The war on poverty.
    Education (through 12th grade).
    Education (college loans).

Every single one of those programs has been over budget and a massive failure.

    Every one of them.

How many failed programs does it take to convince someone that government isnt the answer?

50? 100? No, really. How many examples does someone need to see?

But most dont care... they just hear that they're about to get something for the cost of nothing, and that's all it takes.

That happened in Venezuela as well. As the country descended into the inevitable failure that is socialism-they put price controls on TP.

But neighboring countries had higher prices on TP, so Venezuelans would sell them across the border to make a little money and perhaps not starve to death.

The socialist govt in Venezuela propagandized the TP shortage-saying there was so much food in Venezuela that its citizens were using the bathroom more.

So if you endorse one thing you’re endorsing the entire thing? That’s pretty silly. I’m sure he’ll get questions and if he says he supports red scarfs then we’ll know. Until then he just said he likes literacy.
When someone praises our framers, does it mean they support slavery and oppose women’s suffrage?

The evils of socialism are unmatched in the history of the world.....image the horrors in Venezuela where people were forced to hunt dogs and cats....eat rats and pigeons....sick stuff https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...s-cause-some-hunt-dogs-cats-pigeons/84547888/

You know who didn't have to hunt pets and eat rats? Hugo Chavez, and Maduro

He said he specifically supported Castro's literacy brigade....this is what that brigade did. It wouldn't be like saying you support our Founders, it would be like saying you support slavery in your analogy.

Are you trying to say self-avowed socialist Commissar Sanders from the Vermont Oblast doesn't want socialism? Did he have a Road to the Austrian School Moment this morning and become a card carrying member of the Mises Institute?

Why are all these Democrats crapping their Pampers about having a commie on the top of their ticket? What's James Crypt-Keeper Carville, Chris Tingle Thighs Matthews, Wall Street Pete Buttigag and that crazy old guy from Delaware who's running for the U.S. Senate ranting about?

You don't need a totalitarian dictatorship to increase literacy.

Their culture is also a factor. In a marriage both spouses work and pay taxes to fund the benefits of Swedish welfarism. That being said Sweden is reducing the scope and cost of its welfare state and Swedes living in the US do better than those living in Sweden.

Now those suffering from Russian Delusion Syndrome would say that the Russians are supporting Bernie to get Trump re-elected.
