    Because of CV in China. Not America. When the tariffs were back and forth with China, the market was up and down. China has a lot to do with our market because of our trade market with them.

    As I have already stated MULTIPLE times on this forum, I do not believe the coronavirus is a serious health risk for Americans 'now'. However, we should always be prepared for a potential pandemic because this particular virus is extremely contagious, more-so than SARS or H1N1 was.

    The virus infects the double amount of people, each 6.5 days. If you can do simple math, you can try to understand what that means. And no, there are no measures to stop it. All 'experts' who say it is containable are lying. What I'm saying is that the U.S. is not prepared to be proactive and figure out not only how to contain it, but to mitigate its spread. Right now states don't want to guarantee those returning from the cruise ship in Japan. What happens if there's hundreds of people infected. Again, do the math.

    Most people will survive this virus, but many would die from this virus. The CDC has estimated (based on weekly influenza surveillance data) that at least 12,000 people in the United States have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000. That's just the regular flu, one that was not as highly contagious as is reported that the coronavirus is.

    Trump is not a virologist or epidemiologist but Trump insists on being the protagonist in every drama. He wants to promote the idea that everything on his watch is improving. Virology isn’t politics, though. Tweets don’t beget vaccines. Following his instincts in the face of an outbreak that has left the world on edge risks making things worse.

    Many people are saying the trade war could save the American economy. Since the war began, American companies have been looking at other countries and aren't as reliant on China as we used to be. So if China collapses, we're better able to withstand the storm.

    As far as medical supplies and pharmaceuticals this is a wake up call to bring that manufacturing back to the USA.

    And of course, anything related to defense like steel, aluminum, and alloying metals.

    Is Trump an epidemiologist now in addition to being 'the chosen one'? He gutted the CDC, who will he call on to mitigate and address a pandemic if one occurs?
