The NFL is not doing that. Why would any rational person claim that ???

The point is that Sanders admires Castro for certain accomplishments but does not care about the totalitarian methods which Castro used. Hitler for example was a great environmentalist.

Easy to say for people who don’t trust polls that they don’t like. I’m skeptical he can win, but he polls well so far.

We’ve dabbled since this nation was founded, it’s a response when free markets fail the consumer in mandatory market...like healthcare. The free market wasn’t going to build the railroad, it wasn’t going to electrify rural areas, and it’s not gonna heal the sick

Do you understand that the current US debt is greater than the US GNP?

What does that have to do with my post....which was that Sanders' proposal is funded from a small % increase in tax.?

The free stuff Bernie proposes will not be paid for by a tax increase or taxing the rich. We can't afford what we are paying for now.

You could confiscate all the wealth from the top 10% and not come close to the cost of Bernieism.

Where did I say it was good? It was an improvement over what they had before. Like so many righties here, you seem to deliberately misread my posts or choose to put your own spin on them. I don't do that to you, so please stop it.

I don't give a hoot what Hitler or Mussolini or Chavez did. This thread is about what Bernie said, or did not say, about Cuba.

I'd still vote for Libertarians, Greens, Independents, etc. Just no more Republicans. I said exactly what I meant, you just chose to misinterpret, perhaps due to your own partisanship. Do you ever vote outside your party?

So? Did you have a point? Do you also think that evil dictators aren't capable of doing a good thing once in a while? Or are you implying that like Hitler, Castro's "improved education" included some sort of brainwashing for the populace? Your post was vague.

LOL! You state that as if the United States never indulges in the same practice. Are you under the impression that everything they taught us in school is historically true?

Oh, yeah ... as to the old cars ... Cuba has no manufacturing facilities, no resources to make cars and sanctions that don't allow them to buy many goods they would need to make new cars. It's amazing how well they've managed with what was left over from pre-Castro times.

If you actually have an interest in the facts about Cuba and it's history, start here:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Cuba#Break_with_the_United_States

"The United States severed diplomatic relations with Cuba on 3 January 1961, and further restricted trade in February 1962. The Organization of American States, under pressure from the United States, suspended Cuba's membership in the body on 22 January 1962, and the U.S. government banned all U.S.–Cuban trade on 7 February. The Kennedy administration extended this ban on 8 February 1963, forbidding U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba or to conduct financial or commercial transactions with the country. At first the embargo did not extend to other countries, and Cuba traded with most European, Asian and Latin American countries and especially with Canada. However, the United States later pressured other nations and American companies with foreign subsidiaries to restrict trade with Cuba. The Helms–Burton Act of 1996 makes it very difficult for foreign companies doing business with Cuba to also do business in the United States, forcing them to choose between the two marketplaces."

The References section lists many good books about it. But I'm guessing you won't bother. Im guessing your only reason for posting here is to pick fights with liberals. I double-dog dare you to educate yourself.

My mistake. I keep forgetting that you are not a debater, just a sewer of one-liners from hyperbolic right wing rhetoric. Thanks for the "don't bother" reminder.

How do you raise trillions upon trillions from a small % increase in tax.

You might want to research how the income tax started in this country.. At least educated people know what happened since then...

Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump all signed a waiver of parts of the law.

You wont see something like this often.

I am a registered independent and a libertarian sort of conservative. I vote based on issues. I vote for some Democrats in local elections, but in general they are Democrats who support the 2nd Amendment (not unusual in West VA). At the national level the Democrats have swung so far to the left I don't think I can ever vote for one again.
