If you only believe in national sovereignty for forms of Gov't you agree with - then you don't believe in national sovereignty.

Regardless of what you believe - we are parties to agreements respecting the sovereignty of Dictatorships - in hopes that they will respect our sovereignty - the general point - and golden rule principle of such agreements.

Over those same years you have displayed far greater loyalty to Israel than to genuine US interests and the well being of American G.I.s.

I've posted the sources, you just don't like the truth:

"The Costs to American Taxpayers of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: $3 Trillion"
    https://www.wrmea.org/003-june/the-...israeli-palestinian-conflict-$3-trillion.html

    By Thomas R. Stauffer

EXCERPT "Similarly, aid to Israel—and thus the regional total—also is understated, since much is outside of the foreign aid appropriation process or implicit in other programs. Support for Israel comes to $1.8 trillion, including special trade advantages, preferential contracts, or aid buried in other accounts. In addition to the financial outlay, U.S. aid to Israel costs some 275,000 American jobs each year."CONTINUED

And what sort of gratitude does the US get for wasting $ Trillions of dollars and thousands of lives to enable Israeli regional hegemony:

Netanyahu: “Once we squeeze all we can out of the United States, it can dry up and blow away”

As far as I'm concerned American sovereignty supercedes that of all other nations on Earth. Or as I call it "supersovereignty"

This is not surprising given your distaste for the golden rule - and apology for war crimes and crimes against humanity (except when it is others doing it - which is of course hypocrisy at its finest")

I am in favor of a rules based order in the world - rules based on logic and reason - and not hypocrisy - simply because it defies logic but also for other compelling reasons.

This "do as we say not as we do" "no rules for us but rules for you - because American sovereignty supercedes" (ASS) narrative became common - quite a few decades back.

The reason for this that at the time we were so head and shoulders above everyone else - so ASS it was kind of true in ways. In any case - we were the only economic game in town - and everybody wanted to play - and so we could get away with it. We could maintain that position - and there were no consequences.

Things have changed Dayton - Our position and "The Position" on the geopolitical chessboard has changed. Now there are consequences to the rule violations -and "do as we say, not as we do" does not cut it as the sole rational basis for making your next move on the board.

Look - if we are going to go around preaching "Rules Based Order" - which is what we do - then we should be following the rules - or at least make an attempt at it - one that does not fail the giggle test .. such as arming a terrorist proxy army in a sovereign nation.

    1) a violation of international law - arming insurgents of any kind in a sovereign nation (except if you have declared war of course)
    2) That those insurgents happened to be Al Qaeda - now we fail the giggle test
    3) Our troops uninvited in a Sovereign State - without Security Council approval - is a violation of international law. Law that we are signatories to.

    4) We are now complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity - and the history books have already been written on that one.

The consequences - deep. First off we have lost on the ME - Iran, Syria and Iraq (soon to be if not already) under the influence of Russia/China .. with Europe maintaining good status - and who will be doing the rebuilding. That's not winning - That is what losing looks like - never mind the 6 Trillion we spent .

China buys more oil from El Saud than the US - Qatar Oman - are already friendly with Iran.

Blunders - big ones - on the geopolitical chessboard - one where "Economic" is the most powerful piece on the board .. Not "Military"

The Iran Sanctions ? - not so much the pulling out of the sanctions - but forcing all the other nations of the world to go along with Unilateral Sanctions imposed after the fact - was really stupid - and they realize it now - don't kid yourself - this was a blunder. I understand why they tried to make the move - many were against it 19 out of 22 in his inner cabinet if memory serves - but it backfired.

They waged economic war on every other nation - usurping the sovereignty of these other nations "Because US Sovereignty Supercede's" !? - using the so called "Nuclear Option" - threatening to block banks and corporations out of the international system of payments.

That is not walking softly - that is barging in the door with the big stick. The nations went wild - using the strongest of language - not in private - but on the public stage. "You are messing with our Sovereignty" - came out of the mouths of how many Nations ? - every one "Canada/Mexico" - who bide their tongue for a reason - we are still their only game in town.

I have posted lists in numerous threads - Nations doing the big "FU" to the US.

We used to be able to just "whisper" our desires into the ear of a Nation - and they would come running to comply - because we were the only economic game in town.

Now - even after barging in the door with a club - they are saying FU.

Say you were a purchaser - international contract - bidders from numerous nations. Now suppose one of the Nations on the bid list was "Messing with US sovereignty" - and the people are riled ... how would you feel if some Nation did that to us ?

What bid do you think will get second class citizen status ? How many examples would you like

NordStream 2 - Germany - heavy US protestation - FU
Belt and road Initiative - Italy (and numerous others but Italy is a main EU nation) - big US protest - FU
Turkey, India S-400 system - Over the Top US reaction - no whispering of desires - FU
Even our lapdog Britain - only nation of significance to join the coalition of the willing - allowed the Iranian Tanker to go FU

and that is just for starters. Due to our use of the nuclear option - (and it is called that for a reason - we were allowed to control the international exchange system - given to us as a privilege - in honor of our high status superceding that of others.) There is a major effort among numerous nations in the world to come up with an alternative - a competitor to the USD and international system of trade.

The day a valid competitor exists - will be the day the History books will record as the defacto end of the US economic empire - Full Stop.
