Right you are. Thanks @US Conservative!

Very odd game of whack-a-mole going on in the DNC. If they don’t want Bernie (or any other current candidate) to advance to the general, why are they letting them run to begin with?

Alright there was some confusion on my part.

So Medicare for all IS affordable if we increase taxes on the 1% via Bernie's plan coupled with a 1% tax on "me" (middle class). Correct?

Maybe they are hoping for a contested convention where Hillary rears her ugly head.

Who do they charge when most of the 1% take their money and move to Ireland? Who pays then? France tried it and gave it up.

Correct..........with this caveat.....every tax payer gets at least the 1% hike. I don't mind if Sanders goes after the Bloombergs of the US and hits them much harder. If pricks can buy elections, they can help the less fortunate.

Why should they move over a 1 percent that they'd probably barely notice, when there are so many other perks that they get by living and doing business here?

It's the top 1% of the wealthiest people in the nation not 1% of their wealth. Bernie want to tax 'em at 70% of their income. When they leave the country or live here and move their money offshore, you and I will have to pay instead.

Wrong....Sanders proposes 0.1% for everyone. I don't think that is realistic. Make it 1% and it will be easy, and no-one will even notice given what Trump and the Republicans here keep saying about how well everyone is doing.

Yeah, didn't AOC say something about taxing people who made a certain amount that just happened to be just over what Netflix was going to pay her?

You would think they wouldn't like it when Biden refers to them as cockroaches.

Joe said 150,000,000 Americans have been killed by guns in the last 15 years? I didn’t realize the toll was that high.

    Magic?

I think you are asserting that 1% of income in the US would cover the cost of universal health care.

In 2016, 140.9 million taxpayers reported earning $10.2 trillion in adjusted gross income and paid $1.4 trillion in individual income taxes.

    https://taxfoundation.org/summary-latest-federal-income-tax-data-2018-update/

An additional $100 billion in tax revenue will cover Medicare for all?

In 2017, the United States spent about $3.5 trillion, or 18 percent of GDP, on health expenditures.

    https://www.crfb.org/papers/american-health-care-health-spending-and-federal-budget
I'm confused, we're off by orders of magnitude, are we talking about the same thing?

Popping in here to make a comment about the debate audience. I was curious about the "Boos" Warren and Sanders were getting, and much applause for Bloomberg, speculating the Bloomberg paid some audience members or CBS gave out tickets to "selected" people.

The price of a ticket to last night's SC debate ranged from $1,750 and $3,200 per seat. Not likely the type of audience who would appreciate Sanders/Warren "Taxing the wealthy to benefit the poor".
