I see Bernie called out the US regime change wars in the debate last night. That's a good thing. Maybe he is imitating Tulsi?

Alrighty, thank you for your response.

You did not define what "sanity" means to you, so I'll count you in the "touchy feely" category too. Kind of ironic since you claim logic and reasoning as a major criteria for you.

So what specifically has she mentioned about "reducing government" that interests you?

How small do you want the government to be?

No, I do not know. That is why I am asking.

And yes, I have been watching Trump's actions in the ME and it does not seem indicative of a coherent policy, if you could even call it that.

This is why I am asking for you to kindly verbalize what you think that policy position is that she holds.

Thank you for your detailed response. I truly appreciate it.

However, you seem to be implying that the rest of the Democratic party is pro-war? Is that what you believe?

So which of the Democratic candidates is advocating for "endless wars"?

Do you really want to pull out of the ME so rapidly that we create the same situation that created Al Qaeda in the first place?

It doesn't differ from Trump's, that's the point.

We've witnessed the bizarre spectacle of interventionist neo-cons being driving from the GOP, only to land in the Democratic Party, and totally change their foreign policy. Most of the GOP-Dem foreign policy disagreements over the last three years were due to Democrats wanting more intervention and involvement in the middle east, exactly opposite of their position a few years ago.

For some reason Gabbard seems immune to that, but I guess that's why she's a pariah in her party now.

Everyone knows that the DP is a party led by warmongers and Wall Street.

"Jill Stein responds to Sanders' endorsement of Clinton

"I join millions of Americans who see Hillary Clinton's campaign as the opposite of what they and Bernie Sanders have fought for. Despite her penchant for flip flopping rhetoric, Hillary Clinton has spent decades consistently serving the causes of Wall Street, war and the Walmart economy."

"Do you really want to pull out of the ME so rapidly that we create the same situation that created Al Qaeda in the first place?"

That's exactly opposite of the Democratic Party position in 2011, and more reflective of the Republican party's position in 2011.

    So...you've made my point.

He has been anti war for a long time - he was one of the only one's to vote against the Iraq war - back when Tulsi was a teenager :) - Bernie was running against the herd.

Come to think of it - He is the - if not certainly one- of the founders of the Anti Establishment movement. Bernie has not liked either side for a long time - hence his "independent" status.

Many of Bernie's arrows hit the target - not so much for the other candidates. He has a bit of a movement going IMO - and further - I claim that the Anti Establishment crowd decided the last election (due to wiki but also on Trumps side) - and further that this crowd has grown - and will be an even bigger factor in this election.

The electorate is in a foul mood - was foul in 2016 - and is even more foul in 2020. The electorate went to one extreme in the last election - just on the basis of electing a Political outsider - in a big big field of insiders. A Reality TV Star. Never mind all the other stuff.

We could see a move to a different extreme (That extreme didn't work - lets try this one) ..

Many months to go - but Super Tuesday is just around the corner :)

I guess you forgot how Republicans blamed Obama for the formation of ISIS when he started reducing the troop numbers in Iraq.

    Exactly!

The pendulum swings more wildly when it's pushed, and the election of Trump pushed it way to the right. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What created Al Qaeda was not pulling out of Iraq - ? If that is what you are inferring - it is a flawed premise.

She is talking like a candidate in a debate with Gabbard.

"Through a series of tweets, Gabbard went right at Clinton, calling her the "embodiment of corruption" among the Democratic Party establishment.

"From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation," Gabbard said.
"We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you," she added."

The DP is very desperate now.
Clinton/Bush might be the salvation ticket for them. ;-)

Can you list any Trump positions on any issues that have not been embraced by Obama, Clinton, Schumer, Biden, Pelosi ... ?

Obama's own officials admitted that much.

“The White House decided to support armed rebels in Syria despite intelligence warnings forecasting the rise of the Islamic State.

In Al Jazeera’s latest Head to Head episode, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael Flynn confirms to Mehdi Hasan that not only had he studied the DIA memo predicting the West’s backing of an Islamic State in Syria when it came across his desk in 2012, but even asserts that the White House’s sponsoring of radical jihadists (that would emerge as ISIL and Nusra) against the Syrian regime was “a willful decision.” [Lengthy discussion of the DIA memo begins at the 8:50 mark.]”

Yes, Stein, Gabbard and many other liberals have pointed out that DP party bosses tend to be warmongers linked to Wall Street. The DP is very pro-war. Surely you have noticed.
