Looks like things are heating up...

Trump slams Sotomayor and Ginsburg, says they should recuse themselves from ‘Trump-related’ cases

President Trump went after Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a pair of tweets and at a news conference in India on Tuesday, days after Sotomayor issued a dissent critical of the Trump administration’s legal strategy and the court’s majority for enabling it.

Tweeting just before appearing at a welcome ceremony at the Indian president’s ceremonial residence in New Delhi, Trump cited a Laura Ingraham segment on Fox News titled, “Sotomayor accuses GOP-appointed justices of being biased in favor of Trump.” He then called on Sotomayor and Ginsburg to recuse themselves in all Trump-related matters.

For decades the Supreme Court has been an arm of the democratic party. Not only didn't the democrats complain about it, they counted on it as exploited it as much as possible. Now that they can't always cheat their way into laws suddenly it's not fair and the other side is cheating. **** that **** bitch. In fact, **** both her and ****burg.

They need to recuse themselves from any trial involving Trump.

Sotomayor & Ginsberg have commented on the case about Trump’s tax returns. They’ve weighed in with their opinions. Trump wants them to recuse themselves when the case goes to the Supreme Court 3/31/20.

Isn’t it customary for judges to recuse themselves on cases where they’ve already publicly stated how they would rule?

Wow...that's rather amazing to hear any Judge say, especially a SCOTUS Justice....I'll get Ruth some grace given her major health issues....but Soto...she needs to recuse herself for sure. Doubt she will but talk about a black eye to the Court.

It does. She's screwed either way-can't say she herself does not have a bias which would require recusing herself from any case having to do with the Trump admin.

And if she's that distressed-why doesn't she resign?

I waited a few days before replying to this thread because I didn't want to fool around and get banned....

In the English language, it fully transcends my ability to express the utter loathing and contempt that I hold for "Justice" Sotomayor, the *darling* of the radical, anti-American Latino group called "La Raza Unida". When Obama had this THING put on the Supreme Court of the United States (followed shortly afterward by that other THING, Kagan) I felt something wither and cringe in my heart. I could do a better job of writing a more descriptive critque about Sotomayor in German....

I know of no more insidiously treacherous, and dangerous operatives that enemies of this country have as their allies than the hard-core liberal "Justices", Sotomayor, Kagan, and Ginsburg!

same here, how was this allowed to happen?

it is like having a mexican judge from the third world interpreting American laws in the highest court of the land.

"How was this allowed to happen"...? That's easy to answer.

    Bill Clinton appointed Ruth Ginburg.
Barack Hussein Obama appointed both Sotomayor and Kagan.

    There you have it....

They did the EXACT same thing with gerrymandering. The democrats abused gerrymandering for decades. Until the republicans decided to do it and then it was unfair and racist

Sotomayor is upset because it's no longer biased to the left. Poor baby.

She wasn't complaining when it was a rubber stamp for the Obama administration.

Also the allegations against kavanaugh are false. Nobody should ever step down over false allegations.

It is certainly the job & responsibility of the courts--especially the appellate courts--to interpret the meaning & intent of the laws. Otherwise, how would any law ever be declared unconstitutional?

By the power of corporations thru particular services, influence &/or money. Those can count more than any individual rights in a court sensitive to commercial interests of the community.
