Holy ****. This is a disaster. I'm now wondering how many women I may have unintentionally killed.

    Damn.

Yes having around the same Capital Gains tax as the rest of the world is "cushy tax status"...

Hard to believe considering his degree from Wharton. Clearly the length of this work and the arcane English would preclude most of us from reading it, but the economic concept of Smith and Keynes should be taught in College. I have to wonder to what degree the theories of Marx are extolled today by liberal professors.

I don't know about Marx theory but I can tell you that trumps views on trade are at odds with Smiths'.

You know, this forum would run a lot better if people resisted the impulse to spread fake news and character assassination and tried to discuss the merits of each candidate’s plans.
Or do you plan to spend the next 9 months pushing every bit of idiocy that you can dredge up?

Economic theories had been contested in the past and yes in the present day. The 'conflict'(a manufactured conflict in my view, since both miss the point.) was over "high taxes on the rich"(which they now readily admit there's not enough of.) and then "lower taxes"(without lowering the deficit.)

In truth, any economic theory in the present day cannot be taken seriously without taking the government's trillion dollar budget into account. The federal government(without regard for administrative differences) has gotten a record in taxes for the last 6 years and counting.

It flies in the face of facts for any politician to complain about funding, unless we directly address the government's own inefficiencies.

So, how does one seriously go about lowering the deficit? On one hand, I've argued for the restructuring of our public programs, cutting off the dead weight where it exists.(IE: With Social Security, initiate payments for those ahead of the line and get them off the payroll so you can then focus on the upcoming generations.). By reducing expenditure on public programs, the government gets a little bit of breathing room.

The big way you do that, is to promote self-efficiency through economic growth. You don't stimulate "job growth" with money. You stimulate it with job openings. I've advocated for a 21st century remodeling of our economic country, by advocating for entrepreneurial education and we should double our entrepreneurs in 10 years. Right now, the reason we have an economic malady is because we're 90% workers/10% entrepreneurs. I want that to be 60% entrepreneurs/40% workers. And that means more and more common folks should own industry, get into industry(of various types) and become richer and successful.

The country's richness is qualified not by the stock exchange, not by the 'quality of life' but by the ability to be self-sufficient. If I had it my way and with the control reins, by 2035, we should have a self-sufficient country.

Lol, Paris Hilton... I can't believe I used to think she was hot back when her reality show first came out. In my defense, I was 24 then and used to think skinny chicks were hot.

Oddly enough, the young generation loves Bernie, but hates old rich white men at the same time. They call them "boomers" because they think it's an insult. But we ARE talking about people who thought it would be a good idea to eat Tide Pods.

“How much will your plan cost and how will you pay for it?” Is not a trap question.

    Trump will eat him alive

A socialist without a plan for his plans who compliments a communist, easy peasy to destroy.

Theyre clearly out to stop Bernie. Just like the last election, when Hillary and wasserman-schultz cheated to stop him with super delegates.
They know if it comes down to Trump vs Communism, dems will lose the house, and possibly much more...

I'll guess that you don't see, or understand if you actually do see, what putting the people 'front and center' is used for?

There is no 'small dose' of socialism. And socialism is incompatible with democracy. We can all play word salad and create all sorts of blended political positions, but the bottom line is, capitalism will fail under socialism, and most of all, under democracy without capitalism, you actually have socialism.

As if democratic socialism is any different than socialism. Throwing Democratic in front of it is not changing anything.

The same silly word games the commies play with “people” and “republic” in their country names.

Precisely, and about a month ago it was revealed that former Hillary Clinton supporting thugs were -- mysteriously -- selected to pack the rules committee. But according to our posting leftists, "There's nothing to see here folks. Move along!"

The huge irony is that Hillary all but endorsed Sanders the other day. It's sort of like smiling at somebody's back as he's about to enter a blind alleyway and you are sharpening your dagger while telling him, "Of course it's perfectly safe to go in there . . . friend. Trust me."
