It's just getting started, and the infrastructure so painstakenly created by the Obama administration has been completely dismanted by Trump. Do you not get that? The people who know what to do have all been fired or quit in dusgust. Do you not get that? There is no official response coming from the incompetent toadies who still work at CDC and NIH. Trump has never bothered to replace the experts on pandemics that were part of the White House National Security Council. Do you not get that?

I stand by the title of this thread. Trump cares about himself, not you and not me and not the American people. He cares about the stock market and how that reflects on him in an election year. Do you not get that?

It's too late to throw money at this problem, unless the money goes to re-establish the network and coordination between the various departments an agencies that Trump dismantled two years ago.

I'm weary of the Trumpsters here who are just too stubbornly ignorant to admit that their cult leader Trump is failing them in so many ways. This is just too much stupid for me.

    :wall: I'm out.

We get it. It's not as if your views are unique, and must be listened to.

This is a test. Will Trump's team of incompetent sycophants at every level be able to deal with an evolving crisis. Will the United States now be able to lead the world in stemming a pandemic? Since Trump has, in his pathological desire to kill everything Obama, will the fools currently inhabiting the White House be able to respond to an evolving threat to our people other than comforting words like, "Don't worry, the market will rebound."

Is the nefarious left (70% of our people) in a panic? Hell no, we just understand history and how these kinds of things evolve under an administration that has difficulty knowing things like India borders China or that actions have consequences. The insufferable boobs in Trump's White House are slowly getting the fact that this is bad shyte because the market's down. You think the market is down now? Wait until stuff really gets going and China takes our economy down with theirs. That's that awful globalization Trump lovers hate.

I this something to panic? It depends on your point of view. Do you believe we have a government capable of leveling with its people so we know what's goin on, or will it launch a massive PIA effort around election time.

So what do you expect the U.S. to do to save China and their economy?

Ebola kills 50%-90% of the people who contract it. I'm sure you can see how the response to that disease was a little more intense?

That would be like trying to prove your own stuff stinks to you. You are the loser if you can't tell the difference in success and BS, and Obama was mostly a fraud- not a success. He will be noted in history as the first black president- nothing more.... while Trump will be noted a the president that restored confidence to the nation. Not my job to educate you- and nobody is successful trying to teach anything to someone who doesn't want to know. We see failures every day trying to get someone to give them success. Slackers trying to get someone to give them money because they are entitled. Damn sure nothing new about people who think we are obligated to prove to them they are wrong.

I did. Nothing he did stopped anything that would do any good at this point. A week or two ago, the democrats were saying he was over reacting.

Yes but Ebola is very difficult to transmit from person to person. The only criticism that I recall was the failure to quarantine people who refused to honor the directive to do so. There was no widespread criticism of the Obama administration.

You are aware that in order to be politically correct Obama made it as easy as possible to allow potential Ebola infected people to enter this nation and allowed some KNOWN to have it to enter as well? But I don't recall anybody to the Left of Center being upset about that . . . even after some U.S. citizens became infected because of Obama.

The only legitimate complaints are in the WSJ article and they are non partisan. The other concern is the plan to send thousands of US troops into Ebola ravaged areas.

Boy will you be disappointed if we don't die, huh? You do know over 14,000 people have died of the regular flu during the last year? And not a single person has died of your boogerbear virus in this country?

Read today doctors in Nebraska (where folks are being quarantined) think they've discovered important mapping of the virus. Could lead to a vaccine or new meds...

Awww, I'm sorry to litter your thread with positive news. Go back to demanding Trump save us... like Barack saved us from Ebola. :roflol:

That does not even come close to a 150 million dying from guns since 2007. That is half the population. At that rate we will all be dead by about 2035.

I couldn't stand Obama. There was talk in our unit about being in a support role and I wasn't wild about the idea. I thought that all the hand wringing that was being done about Obama's response was out of line, even as a conservative. It's fun watching the left complain about Trump on the same issue. It takes the place of complaining about important issues like what he's going to eat in India or him having two scoops of ice cream.
