there has never been a world wide flood in the entire 4.5 billion year history of the earth.

Yeah, I've seen the Reclining Buddha and it's absolutely humongous. Got to see the Ark. Gonna do some research on the Blue, maybe reconnoiter.

We disagree. Here in the Rio Grande Valley there is 1,500' of water deposited sediment in an area that gets 9" of rain a year.

Life size Noah's Ark? Lol. You can fit two of every animal on it?

    .....

I think the OPs post has broken my snark/sarcasm section.

I guess my only positive contribution to this will be "Well, one point to the creationists is that they aren't flat-earthers". Which is probably the highest compliment I can give to these people.

there's nothing to disagree about. We know for a scientific certainty that there has never, at any time, been a global flood of the earth.

Since you weren't there back then, all you can do is guess.

I believe the bible recorded its size as 30 cubits in length. A cubit being the distance from your elbow to your finger tips.
This ark has been reproduced far too large.
One might be inclined to think that the whole story would crumble without blind faith.

You dodged my question about the 1,500' of water deposited settlement. Since you know everything, you should have an explanation, right?

no. we have no need to guess. we have science, specifically physics and geology, which confirm that no such flood ever occurred.

I didn't dodge anything. I pointed out that we know for a scientific certainty that at no point in the 4.5 billion year history of the earth, was it ever globally flooded.

I'd wager it's the result of similar phenomena to that which caused sea life fossils to be found in mountains. Basically, crust that was previously underwater has been displaced to the point that it no longer is low enough to be covered by ocean. But to figure out what the geological community has to say about it, I'd have to be able to google what you're talking about. Got a link to the what you're refering to, so I can get the search terms right?

The thing that's always impressed me is how all those marsupials somehow managed to crawl/hop and swim to Australia from Mt Ararat after the flood was over. Not only that, but they picked up all the bones of their dead on the way so there weren't any fossils for anyone to find later. Amazing!

And this is the only era in history when scientific guesses will never change?

nobody is making a guess. we know, for a certainty, that young earth creationists are batshit crazy, and demonstrably incorrect regarding the age of the earth, and the fact that a global flood has never, and can never happen.

Sorry but the Ark myth is so full of holes it’s not even funny.

species can’t be repopulated from 2 animals
Wooden vessels can’t be that long they would break up
If it took 82 years to build the first timbers would of become rotten
The number of current species stands at around 8 million so that’s 16 million animals on board so not big enough
Loading 1 animal every second it would take over 6 months to load the Ark

There is nothing scientific these museums at all

What people are missing is that this is just business as usual: how can we make a buck from these idiots? I know, we'll build this thing and they'll turn up and pay the entrance fee and buy the crappy stuff in the shop and eat burgers and guess what? We're into serious$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Way to go, as it has been throughout history.

There was an Ark in Ipswich last time I was in town. Was built on an old barge and sailing around the EU to spread the word.
I was tempted to have a look inside to see how it was built but at £16.50 to get in the temptation soon passed.

So how did evolution create chickens for example, according to you even if a male and female arose at the same time that wasn't enough, right?

The Bible doesn't say how old the earth is, what I do know is that nothing X nobody does not = everything.

    https://www.discovermagazine.com/pl...loods-are-real-and-theyre-absolutely-enormous

Isn't science supposed to be open to all possibilities?
