    This really does highlight how China has too much influence over our supply chain. I wonder how many other things China could deny to us, in an attempt to cripple us, and I wonder if other countries will step up to [try to] fill the void, or if we'll use this lesson to return at least critical production back to the US?

    It's also a harsh reminder of how terrifying biological warfare could be. This one disease has almost shut down our country, if you look at the sporting events being cancelled, the travel limitations, and the schools, theme parks, festivals and large gatherings which are being cancelled.

    Reducing our reliance on that chain has been a goal of Trump's from day one. Impeding Trump's efforts to break that chain has been the goal of the left form day one. There are some Hunter Biden has made good money from a Chinese company. Feinstein had a Chinese spy working for her for decades. Bloomberg has made a lot of money with the Chinese. The Clintons also have made a wad of money form the Chinese.

    Haha, it's just supply and demand, i.e. the free market. China is leveraging its power, as Trump did when he instated the tariffs, and we are in a pinch. Quid-pro-quo, they are just using his tactics against him.

    Maybe Trump should have thought of that BEFORE he declared China as US enemy number one.

    I am not on China's side. I am just saying that karma is a b***. Maybe now we have to pay the price for the MAGA politics, because nobody wants to work with us, or help us, after Trump has alienated pretty much EVERY foreign country.

    Couldn't detect the intended sarcasm? Maybe I didn't express it well. I live in the US with my two kids and we have my inlaws live with us in the same house, both fall into the high risk category based on age. Do you think I want the virus come to our doorstep?

    I have shown math for two weeks that predicted where the outbreak would go, showing the seriousness of the numbers, yet, all Trump fans had to say was: Just like the cold, will die down with warmer weather, numbers are small, just a Dem hoax etc. So, please don't lecture me when it is YOUR SIDE that puts people at risk by downplaying the outbreak, just because they want to protect Trump and his "magical" economy.

    You mean like trying to level the playing feel with trade deals that work for both parties and not just one which was what we were doing for decades?

    Yes a more level playing field is a horrible thing and we deserve all this all because we did not want one sided deals..

    Hopefully Biden will win and we can go back to China bending us over their knees..

    I am just saying, binational relationships are two-way streets. If we constantly attack them with trade wars etc, while WE are in the position of strength, we shouldn't be surprised that they return the favor when THEY are in a position of strength. Why should the Chinese people not respond with "China first" to our "America first" policies?

    Do you even read what i write? Can you deny the one sided nature of previous deals? I can link you the recent history of their Tariffs on our products but you bother to read it? Is it possible to change your opinion on this topic?

    We did not "attack" anyone. We simply tried to level the amount of tariffs to get a semblance of balance..

    The same idiots screaming Trade wars were the same idiots claiming Trump being elected would send us into a Global depression... just from being elected...
