I can only recommend you to learn something about COVID-19 first ... based on facts and not on opinions ... facts like

- what is COVID-19 actually?
- Who is particularly at risk in the population?

Then you will find out that corona viruses have been around forever. They cause various colds, respiratory diseases and pneumonia. COVID-19 is more insidious ... not because of mortality. Assuming good medical care, 70 to 80% of the cases are like a normal cold, the rest is difficult or even fatal. Risk groups are not only older people, but also those with various previous diseases of the lungs, the respiratory tract or even where the immune system is weakened due to other diseases and reasons.
The main problem is the risk of infection and the long incubation period. You get infected today, but the disease does not break out in you until about 2 weeks. In the meantime, you are completely normal as always, but with day 1 of the infection you are like a bacilli mother ship and infect many others in the 14 days ... without you knowing that you have the disease.

In the 14 days you have ... you personally ... been in contact with how many other people and can you infect them? Answer that yourself, not here and me!

 

You want to have evidence, that when people do not come into contact with each other, that it means they can't infect one and other?

I believe this is a lab made soup from China that accidentally got loose and most of us are going to get sick but we won't die. The most crowded place I'm likely to go is the grocery store and I'll be there this morning when the doors open hoping to get damned toilet paper. I looked day before yesterday and I have never seen so much crazy or shelves so empty and for what? Trump was right, the panic and nutty behavior is the real threat to our country. When it's over there are some who will have trouble looking their neighbors in the eye, "I did that?"

What did you want him to do, hold your hand? So far the only thing any country has done is give out instructions about how to try to protect yourself. Now they are closing borders about a week after Trump and the US led the way. Follow the guidelines laid out as best you can and if you get it stay home and try not to share it. So as of now, we are at 3487 cases in the US and 68 deaths. Is it following the predicted amount, that's still a very small number for nationwide statistics.

 

Hmm...not sure where you got your count. Worldometers has the US at 4748 cases and 93 deaths.

By comparison, Italy took 13 days to hit that number after it's 100th case. The US took 12. The next 24-24 hours are going to be quite telling because in Italy, it jumped from 4600 to 5800 and then to 7300 over the next 24 to 48 hours.

 

So you wanted to close the borders, well we did too you did your country? In ours the Dems wouldn't have allowed it.

 

Your using a site that anyone can report any number of cases by simply inputting your name an email and a link. Good grief let's stick to CDC numbers instead of website that uses websites for numbers. Now as of YESTERDAY, the US had 3,487 of confirmed cases. It will be more today we'll find out later but let's try to stick with factual numbers from the CDC shall we.

Nobody had the training to deal with this ****, our medical infrastructure world wide was barely adequate to handle known diseases and this one is new. To date I have yet to hear of the collapse of the US system, it seems to be keeping up so far. This is so true! Biden actually criticized Trump as being a xenophobe for shutting off flights from China at the end of January. If Biden had been president, we would be in exponentially worse position.

And Sanders? He actually told Brett Baier on last week's Town Hall that he would leave the borders open, even at this stage. It seems to me that the Democrats put the interests of foreigners well ahead of American lives, even to the point of waving in planeloads of people from massively infected countries.
