Supposing "The US government is classified as hostile" is true, that sounds like a pretty good reason to try to get the vaccine rights moved to where we can ensure Americans have access...

Funny that, the company involved (CureVac) says no such offer was made. Please post a valid source supporting your statement.

Ummm the Clinton's were big on enhancing China's ability to manufacture highly technical items. And I'll say this as well. Taking advantage of China's manufacturing capabilities has been a boom for tens of thousands of American small businesses.

From which i have personally benefited.
Not just China but exporting our expertise to be matched with cheap labor.

From that every American has benefited and so have many of those countries.

There is no direct quote, but quite a few sources stating that he tried to get the exclusive right to said vaccine. On 2nd March, curevac CEO Daniel Menichella and several other biotech CEOs from GlaxoSmithkline, Pfizer, Sanofi, and Johnson & Johnson were invited to Washington and met with Trump, Pence et al to discuss possible vaccines. Menichella spoke for a few minutes and said he was very confident they could develop a vaccine in the next few months. Source in German.
    https://www.wiwo.de/politik/ausland...nehmen-curevac-aufmerksam-wurde/25645846.html

Newspaper Welt am Sonntag reported that Trump tried to get the exclusive rights to curevac's possible vaccine.
Curevac's main investor Dietmar Hopp (he holds about 80%) himself said that "For me it's obvious, it cannot be that a German company develops the vaccine and it's then used in the US exclusively. That is not an option for me. He [Trump] talked to the company and they immediately informed me and asked me what I thought of it and I knew right away that this is ineligible."
"Für mich ist das selbstverständlich, es kann gar nicht sein, dass eine deutsche Firma den Impfstoff entwickelt und dieser in den USA exklusiv genutzt wird. Das war für mich keine Option", so Hopp. "Er hat mit der Firma gesprochen und man hat mir das dann sofort gesagt und gefragt, was ich davon halte und ich wusste sofort, dass das nicht infrage kommt",

so first of all this debunks the rumour the Chinese have been spreading that the US are responsible for the Coronavirus... clearly they would have secured a vaccine first before releasing a biochemical weapon.

Secondly, the Coronavirus have (according to some reports) sections of HIV and Ebola dna inserted, it's a weapon. The level of response by governments confirm this as far as I'm concerned.... This would mean obtaining a vaccine is paramount, Trump makes no secret that to him "America is first" so why are we surprised by this in any way. Only the naive would be shocked or surprised.

ps. prior to judging, just ask those people hoarding toilet paper who they are putting first

This kind of garbage makes me giggle.

Fake news. Just more "orange man bad" kind of TDS published by the DNC arm of the fiction news department. It's a lie. Totally manufactured BS. Bias garbage to make the naive and gullible to feel better about being the losers in 2016. A lot of folks on the left are addicted to this kind of trash. This kind of renders all of your anti Trump partisan post to nothing but nonsense and gibberish. You should check into this kind of stuff before you post it.

    Check this **** out:

German virus vaccine firm denies US made takeover offer

In a tweet Monday, CureVac confirmed it had been one of the companies at the meeting, but said the media reports about an offer were incorrect.

CureVac has not received from the U.S. government or related entities an offer before, during and since the task force meeting in the White House on March 2,” the company wrote.

CureVac on Sunday called the reports “speculation,” issuing a statement saying that it was working to develop a vaccine and was in contact with a global alliance called the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness, “and many other organizations and authorities worldwide.”

It rejected "allegations about offers for acquisition of the company or its technology,” but that failed to dampen interest in the story, partially fueled by the responses from German officials.

You should read this article and think twice yourself:

You know man, I do not care.
I am telling you why people voted for Trump.
Since you refuse to understand why people voted for Trump, you are the one who has elected him.

Dude ... I'm German and I did for sure not vote for this jerk out of this ... an even I am US citizen, I would have never done.
But what I understand and know is that Trump made a very comparable election campaign as Hitler did before 1933 ... and many US people voted for him for the same reasons as many Germans voted for Hitler before January 30, 1933!

    Why?
Aside fact that I know it ... there are not even 30,000 to 40,000 US troops in Germany left ... they vary in number due to usual rotation. Of these are about 10,000 personal of the 2 US Air Force Bases in Germany - Ramstein and Spangdahlem.
Of fighting units are only the 2nd Armored Cavalry (equipped with the Stryker), half othe 173th Airborne Brigade, parts of 41st artillery Brigade and parts of 12th Combat aviation Brigade in Germany ... not even 10,000 men in sum. Rest is staff, supply and fr example the huge Hospital in Landstuhl.
Only a rediculous number of troops and only a spark of what was once in Germany before 1990!

Sure ... and for me it sounds to exclude US until the US did not understand that Corona (and any other pandemic) does not know and have a nationality ... and that only working together is doing the job.
But i still understood that there are many Americans who think in their arrogance that only the US is able and worth to have ... and the rest could have maybe as donation!
Wake up ... this is a dream and not reality!

And ... maybe we shall start to do the same with you then? How about this?

You may want to consider some anger management training.

You might want to tone down the posting. There are several of the alphabet groups who don't look on it positively.

Hyperbole isn't an argument. It's just unchecked emotion. I can understand why. It's embarrassing to be so wrong. The proof is that you present is proof that you have nothing to offer but partisan "orange man" hyperbole.

Enough troops to hold down the fort until reinforcements arrived. Germany is occupied territory.

    And don't forget this:

Defense expert Ottfried Nassauer of the Berlin Information Center for Transatlantic Security (bits) said it's common knowledge that there are about 20 American nuclear weapons in Büchel. There are two bomb types from the B61 bomb family, with a maximum explosive yield from 50 to 170 kilotons, he said. This is equivalent to four to 13 times the explosive power of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.

If you really believe that Oliver Stone is a poor source of truthful information, your Common Sense Quotient is very low.
