Hey I think I will take a page out of the global warmist crowd, oops, I mean climate change experts. Every time the wind blows slightly in an unexpected direction it is accepted as absolute proof of climate change. So using their logic I was looking at death rates so far in countries that have national health care. At this moment in time it is 10X that of the United States. Proving for all to see that Medicare for All is a joke and will kill people. The science is settled people. You heard it here first. Now again in keeping with the left's scientific process any changes in the death rate shall hereby be ignored if it conflicts with my hypothesis.

    I have spoken.

Those factor numbers will come down to reality the more people
test positive. It's considered highly contagious NOW because not
enough people with symptoms have been tested. We don't want a lot of
Americans testing positive but we also don't want a high number of those
tested dying.Damned if you do and Damned if you don't.

These numbers occur from an increase in tests. Test less and you will have smaller numbers.

Different issues, but valid point. I am not a global warming alarmist or a supporter of M4ALL. The death rate for COVID-19 is still climbing globally and we are nowhere a peak here in the US.

Capitalism the form that puts max profits above people and sovereignty has really hurt the US. Offshoring a people's supply chain taking their jobs with it is madness.

Actually the number of tests are still woefully short of what is close to optimal, for virologists, medical doctors, and epidemiologists; your statement is like saying hey HIV was no big deal in the early 1990's, as long as you do not test for it.

Now it appears you are deflecting. Let's talk about what you said then. What did you mean?

What I meant is that statistics are meaningless because we have no idea how many infections exist. We will never know, actually. The advice to people to stay away from other people and keep their hands clean is good. The hysteria is not good at all.

But must I add suppliers are encouraged to meet the demand and Amazon is moving to block unjustified increases in prices by its vendors and I know five banned from their marketplace permanently for price gouging since I reported them myself no $5.00 thing of wipes should be $20.00 even taking into account for modest cost increases no government action is needed. And they are still delivering vital supplies and food deliveries so critics can go to hell. Seriously if this was Soviet Russia people would be starving and without things needed you people need to kiss Capitalism feet and US companies are encouraged to work on treatments and a vaccine largely due to expected profits now fast tracked by the government if we started late last year like China could we would have these no those Commie Pinkos did this by not telling everyone about this in November so the worlds combined response could have hit when it mattered.

I take it for what it is, 1/2 of 1% or as my old homeroom teacher used to say, negligible by all accounts.
Now if you want to go to the CDC's low number, the chance of death is less than being killed by a mistake by your family doctor.

Serious? Yes, something that is all consuming? not in the least.
    Pay attention,
    Wash your hands,
    cover your cough,
and you as an individual will be fine.
It is the panic and stress created out of thin air that will do far more damage than the Wuhan virus.
President Trump is doing everything he can to keep people calm and knock down the rumors as they are manufactured.

Plenty of americans babbling on other countries on this site, you included. What is good for the goose...

It's too late for you to reverse what you've done. You see, you're just as dependent on others to buy your stuff as the chinese are. You're number one because other finds it convenient for you to be, but beside your military you don't have anything that can't be found elsewhere. You don't even produce the top brains which is evident when one looks at the names of those at the top... full of chinese and indian names, so few bob and bill...

There are silly folks busy blame fixing while the sensible in the nation are focused on solutions. Trump was taking concrete steps to protect the nation, while some silly folks were claiming that travel restrictions were racist. Trump has been been right the whole time. We need to secure our border and disengage from China. Amazingly he has been moving us in the right direction for three years. The silly folks scream, lie, have fits and want him driven from office. Good luck with that now when he has been right the whole time.
You seem a bit chaffed, but it takes all types and I appreciate your post. Even though you are not an American, you are so lucky that Trump is our President, even you can't believe it. It is a wonder, I'll grant you that.

DECENTRALIZE, DEREGULATE: ALL US states can now use their own coronavirus tests and Americans can ‘see’ their doctors via Skype and FaceTime at NO additional charge, Amazing Trump administration announces.

This is horrible, reckless, and stupid advice. I hope no one taking this kind of nonchalant, this is only the flu, attitude. We need to be self isolating now.

It spreads like any other flu spreads. COVID-19 is nothing to freak out about. You are still peddling irrational fear.

No. I'm saying that COVID-19 has a LOOOOOOOOOONG way to go before it reaches death numbers anywhere near a typical flu season.

It is no more dangerous than the typical flu is.

Wrong. Your body does not need any exposure to a virus to form antibodies.

If that bothers you look at the death number.

The only way to completely eradicate the disease as quickly as possible is to have the number of tests for your adult population X 3. With 220 million American adults, actually, we should need 660 million tests. Test EVERY American adult, quaräntane the ones who test positive. Two weeks later, test the rest and see if anyone has incubated and caught the virus in the meantime. Take the positives and quaräntane them. Two weeks later, test the rest, and so forth.

It's a process of correct elimination, and in the meantime, those who have come down with the disease will either die from it or will build a natural immunity once they have healed. This half-half, kind of kind of **** is exactly what is exacerbating the spread right now.

And more importantly, look at the death rate among confirmed postive tests. 4%.
4% of 220 million (a little less than 2/3 of the US population) = 8.8 million dead people if the virus were to infect 2/3 of the population.

Germany is reckoning with up to 70% of the population getting the bug.

Actually that is complete Hogwash.Statistics is how you rate the
seriousness of a disease in particular an epidemic.
Take Pneumonic Plague.Untreated it kills quite quickly. In fact,
symptoms have to generally be treated within 48 hrs. or death
results. It has a 100% mortality rate if not treated in time.

    About toilet paper:

"Most mills are 24 hours, 7 days a week operations already. They are running on fixed capacity," said Sellars. "It's not like there's an idle machine that can be cranked up to increase production."

Retailers also have a set amount of toilet paper inventory. "What I suspect is happening right now is retailers are tapping into toilet paper inventory that's sitting in their warehouses until they get more shipment from producers," he said.

For suppliers, rapidly increasing production may not be feasible. So they might instead recalibrate factory production to make more of one type of product and less of another. "For example, less bathroom paper towels and more toilet paper,"
