So you’re stating that you did not post the US confirmed 4300 new cases on March 13th because this post of yours sure as hell looks like it
    Because 1/3 of 13k is 4333.

You are aware that a negative test today doesn’t mean a person can’t contract the disease in 2 weeks or 2 months. We have to starve the Coronavirus by eliminating the chance of potential new carriers. That’s why all these state restrictions and bans are implemented. I for one am against hiding from the virus. I would rather everyone catch the virus and build immunity. The virus will be around next flu season.

In addition to being primarily in blue states at the moment, I suspect it's going to hit population-dense cities, full of Democrats, a lot harder than it's going to hit suburbs and rural areas. All in all, your claim that:
looks just about completely bass-ackwards to me. I suspect it's primarily the Dems that have bought into the panic that are in the most trouble.

    a whole bunch of questions.

big company financial stuff is over my head. (cue "it's a write off jerry" from Seinfeld gif here)

all these corps that did stock buybacks, likely at prices higher than current levels right?

that's cash that they could have used to help weather a storm like this right?

that's lost money until the stock rebounds, so they would take an additional financial hit by reintroducing the shares to the market, like the worst timing ever, right?

business interruption insurance (if a business bought it) typically is for physical damage, and fine print might exclude infection (I'm exploring that) as well as civil authority protection usually is too, grey area.

If we do some form of bailout, we might be rewarding some industry and transportation for miscalculations they made in managing risk.

then again, watching the presser, how can hilton, with single digit worldwide occupancy sustain themselves... weeks at the most? even if they had Harvard levels of savings, they would still be bleeding money on intense levels.

do these big companies carry a massive slush fund? (like. buybacks?)

dont they have access to massive lines of credit?

basically I'm wondering if somebody could walk me through a hypothetical of how a big company. even a prudent one, that is taking a 90% reduction in revenue can survive this, and for how long.

So in your opinion, attempts at flattening the curve are foolish?

There are/were tough restriction to stop the spread all over Europe and China.
it still had a devastating effect on the hospitals. They are overflowing with patients.
And you think some restrictions will do in the US,.. because... you got some different DNA?
    Do tell.

You posted "Confirmed 4,567"... that is indeed about 1/3 of all the people who got tested.
The amount of people tested is embarrassing low. Korea tested about 10K ... every day!
They are going to hit 250k tested subjects this month. Blows my mind you think 13K will do in the US.
Obviously Donald is failing here. Loads of people aren't tested and infecting around all over the place.

There are hardly restrictions in the US compared to how the some EU countries and China are dealing with it, and so the US is rather open to have all kinds of new carriers.

Europe? Are you kidding? When Trump placed the travel ban with China on Feb 1st, Europe along with all the Dems in America called Trump a racist. Europe didn’t impose a travel ban until March. Trump saved this country’s ass.

Trump is a racist. I dunno what your problem is with that opinion.

And Trump didn't save anybody. The virus was already present in the US before the travel ban, infecting people around all over the place. Trump also did nothing to prevent the virus from travelling around the US infecting more and more. It was just all show from Trump.
