Not having to close one eye to see across the room is probably ok.

Those who are home from school and work, even if working from home, don't have 'the company' checking their online activity. Hence, slinking in for a quick political hit or two.

This is obviously a pandemic of Herd mentality.
How so ... you ask.As of last week there were 30 deaths
due to Coronavirus. Thus far this year there has been 34,ooo
deaths due to the flu.How come the public is not being informed of
that.President Trump mentioned this fact a few weeks ago
and was dogged for merely mentioning it.
Why was that.Like Dennis Prager,I would like a rational answer
as to that.Aren't 34,oo deaths worth at least a couple MSM articles.
Last year the number was around 50,ooo deaths due to the flu.
I get how this Virus is much more infectious as was Sars and especially
EBOLA.But that was a Mini panic as well. And we got over it just fine.
Why is this one so ALL IMPORTANT an Immediate Crisis.
I say probably no different than Pelosi and crew demanding that
Trump Has to be removed from office for the sake of our country,
    Our Children,our Future.
She has stated that vile Opinion { demand } more than just a few times.
Normal rational people know that to be a flat out Lie.
What if The powers that be,want this to be the Crisis that should
    not go to waste.
I just noticed something odd by POTUS.As of just the last day.
President Trump is now treating this Coronvirus as if a War.
And that he is now the New War president. That was what Bush 43
used to rally his flock. He was The War president.
Is Trump now allowing himself to be Coerced.?
He originally had a completely different take on this Crisis back
in Early to mid Feburary.he may have decided it's best to just
play along instead of being Real and talking tough about the real
dangers of a Virus that is no match for what the yearly flu has given us.
So just play along.Instead of telling the American with context to
the average flu.A death from a sickness is a death.

This virus jump species. It is not a human influenza type virus. Humans dont have a natural antibody or some type of resistance to an animal virus. This was animal to animal. It mutated from animal to human. It mutated again from animal to human, to human to human. That would be my guess why this is such a big deal.

*yes,we know that. But we also know this Virus is not a true Killer.
In fact, most people infected may suffer at worse flu symptoms or
just the common cold symptoms. The ones who die do suffer greatly
but they are from a group { Elderly and those with compromised health }.
    EBOLA was a Killer.
Keep in mind who is pushing this Crisis. The Media.
" The Media as a rule ... STINK.The day you know
that is very liberating " - D. Prager
Do not allow yerself to get Spooked.

    * some are speculating this was Man-made or artificial.
There is no Doubt who is to blame.CHINA.They knew full well
back in November this was a serious virus and suppressed it.
Plus the CDC at that time did not take serious enough.

My second favorite movie of all time is McLintock with Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne. All those movie they made together were good.

These are strange days, aren't they?

I've been laid off from work for the next 4 weeks, and it could be more.

    My local pubs are closed.

I went grocery shopping and saw a woman shopping with a surgical mask on.

My adult daughter lives with us for now, and she and I have been binge-watching the Homeland series, one that she recommended. I agreed on the condition that she watch Band of Brothers after we get through all the seasons of Homeland. I had never watched Homeland, and she has never seen Band of Brothers.

The roads seem empty. Traffic is so light!

My daughter and I did the crossword together in the newspaper, something we've never done together before.

In a way, it's strangely peaceful - no job to go to, staying home, enjoying simple pleasures, and having the time to do it.

Plenty of time now to hang out on the internet, keeping up on the news, and chatting on PF.

Hope all is well for all of you. How's it going in this new paradigm for you?

Supposedly their movie - The Quiet Man - { 1952 } was their
best, but it's kind of ordinary and even boring.
McLintock was spirited.Maureen O'Hara tells the story of how
she loved playing field hockey as a young college lass. She was
    quite good at it.
She married Brigadier General Charles Blair who was the first
pilot to fly solo over the Arctic Ocean and the North Pole.

Im prepared. Its been ingrained in my brother, sister and I to always be prepared.
Im not crazy about this virus because I have no fear of being ill if i get sick. I planned ahead for us assuming we would get sick and what I would need to drag us across the finish line. If we do get sick and I dont recover, I have no fear of dying if its my time. I look at death as an opportunity to see whats beyond here, if anything. 3 times in my life by all rights I should have exhaled for the last time and I am still here. Im a living testament to only the good die young.

Yeah I thought the same about The Quiet Man. That was my sisters favorite movie. I actually made her a Christmas present years ago, based on a scene from that movie.
Maureen O'Hara was a great actress. The roles she played were believable. She made you believe the character was real. Im going to read more about her now that you got me interested. I dont know anything about her real life.

    Thought I stop in for a quick one . . .

For a “non-political” bar this place has turned ultra-political all of sudden. And there seems to be one viewpoint that trumps all others.

Just an observation from an occasional visitor.

    Dinner tonight.

Fried, cubed boneless center cut pork that's been marinating in red wine vinegar, garlic, adobo and black pepper.
Topped with sour cream with cucumber, onion, celantro, adobo and black pepper.
Stacked on top of warmed pocketless pita bread.

If they dont have fish at the store soon, Im going fishing for dinner. That species can jump and fight like hell on that line. Once its hooked, its dinner.

Because unusual times require unusual talk.
    Not the standard ... - People Will Talk - { 1951 }
Where a college student finds out she is pregnant by an old
