Well, it was the middle of the day on a weekday. Most active duty folks are working then. One of them, the one who took the shot to the jaw, had a kid with her. I'm assuming they were both dependents. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. An active duty member would have far too much to lose with such conduct...

U.S. Navy, 20 years. I retired in January of 2001...

Your whining makes me smile. It pleases me. It lets me know that truth and facts get under your skin...

20 years in the US Armed Forces is a stretch, the US Navy has always seemed to me to be the most rigid - even moreso than the marines. Submarine duty - I can't even imagine. 90 days under the ocean.... Not to imply that you served in that capacity, just saying it's gotta be one of the worst jobs on the planet.

Once again your assumption is incorrect. Eh...you can't be good at everything.

I rode a submarine for a week. That was about six days too long. That takes a special breed, for sure.

Tap water might not be undrinkable but its not the healthiest water to drink. Therefore I've got a distiller, I fill it up with tap water which is then evaporated and condensed into its pure form.

Maybe they're already stocked up. I will admit that I was short on 10mm and 45 Colt ammo when the crisis started so I did buy some ammo in those calibers yesterday, but aside from that I haven't bought any guns or ammo during the time of the crisis. I was well prepared in that department beforehand.

Then get a distiller, like me.

You can expect lots of that in Philadelphia now with the police not arresting people for "non violent crimes" including auto theft.

Not only toilet paper but anything else you've got that they might want. Crisises bring out the worst in people.

It already has hit the fan. As to how much more of it will hit the fan, that remains to be seen.

I hope you're well skilled with your gun and you've got lots of ammo.

How would anyone know what I might have? Oh right, these people are just going to go door to door robbing people. Is that how it works?

Welcome to the prepper world, then again you've obviously been in that world for a long time and know more about it than most people.

More important than the gun itself is the knowledge and skill on how to use it effectively, and without ammo a gun is just a club.

Plenty capable and plenty of ammo that will sit in my gun safe and not have to be used until next time I go to gun range.
