    Trump made all these things about himself, took credit when the trend of the numbers favored him even though the trend started before him

    now it's backfiring on him as if he took credit then, he gets credit now, can't have it both ways

    While President Donald Trump is touting a dramatic uptick in testing across the country, governors and public health officials say they are still being forced to dramatically ration the tests, while labs are confronting daunting backlogs that delay the results.

    “I watch a news conference and they tell us we have testing capacity, but I am telling you we don’t have testing capacity. It is not out there yet,” said Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz during a Wednesday news conference. His state has a current backlog of 1,700 samples waiting to be processed.

    Walz blames the Trump administration’s decision to prioritize 14 of the nation’s hardest-hit areas, supplying them with needed material and leaving the rest of the nation to scramble.

    Trump is making an Epicallly FAILED effort to cover his tracks (by supressing these numbers)

    Trump's entire Presidency is imploding.

    And, the 1/4 of America who still supports him (that are disproportionately represented on line, and at PF) are doing all that they can to spin things in Trump's favor.

    It is what it is.

    And, everybody see right through the charade.

    I don't think so. The responsibility of government is to provide truthful information upon which people may make their own individual decisions. You seem to be arguing they have no such responsibility.

    I read the article and can't help but notice on thing. The article mentions an email but it only has one sentence that is a direct quote from anyone that had anything to do with the directive. It doesn't evens specify if the quote comes from the email. Where are the facts here? Why not just publish the email? It could be totally out of context, not that HuffPo would do that but they probably would. Nothing in this article to hang anything on. Looks like it could be just more "orange man bad" crap. It doesn't even really ask that they not publish the numbers. They just want to wait "until the Labor Department releases the total number of national claims next Thursday" as stated in your post. Mountain from molehill.

    The OP story is fake newz first spun by a website called fxstreet, and then picked up by other fake media.

    The WHOLE real story:
    A Labor Department spokesperson said in a statement that "state data is regularly embargoed until the national numbers are published on Thursday morning and states are asked not to share their data until that time."

    So, it's another nothingburger served up by the party of burger flippers. Yawning.gif
