A late psychic once wrote that a severe pneumonia-like pandemic would happen in 2020

Doomsday theorizing isn't surprising in times like these. This could be a coincidence. Or is it really the end of days:

 

"Browne attracted media attention seven years after her death, when social media users claimed that a prediction in her 2008 book End of Days referred to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic (she claimed "a severe pneumonia-like illness" would spread "around" 2020). News coverage of the alleged similarity appeared in March 2020, and was picked up by celebrities with large social media platforms such as Kim Kardashian. Investigator Benjamin Radford and others dismissed the one-paragraph prediction as too generic, and actually more akin to the 2003 SARS epidemic, than to COVID-19. Radford said that as Browne had produced predictions by the thousands, "the fact that this one happened to possibly, maybe, be partly right is meaningless."

How many psychics predicted epidemics and many other disasters that never happened, thousands, millions?

If you throw a enough sht against the wall, something is bound to stick eventually.

 

Considering that various psychics probably predicted the same for every year from 0 to 3000, one of them had to eventually get it right simply by accident.

 

Of course people have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of the world. This time we have the coronavirus , many recent earthquakes , African locusts and the dimming of Betelgeuse versus Y2K and the Mayan Calendar:

 

I bet I could find one that said 2018 and one that said 2022 and one that said about every year.

I remember when Sylvia Browne told the parents of a missing kid that their kid was dead, only to have him turn up alive after he escaped his kidnapper.

The woman was a reprehensible shyster, and a broken clock is right twice a day.

 

Actually, she didn’t say 2020. She used the psychic trick of “around” 2020.
