Consider .. if we don't go to bars, movies, football games ... we lose that consumption. If we make sure workers in bars, theaters, stadiums have money to buy their share of the basics we continue to produce--the share they consumed before the shutdown--we can be in a position to restart sectors we shut down when it's reasonably safe.

We have to help workers and the businesses where they worked. Democrats need to think twice about not giving money to business--those workers won't have a job to come back to if the businesses go under.

Trump dropped the ball on COVIS-19, first in not moving quickly at least a month ago to secure medical equipment, including testing capacity. He also screwed up by dismissing the threat, calling it a Democratic Party "hoax." Now, he's screwing up by saying we have to try to restart the economy in areas that might well increase transmission.

No, he's doing a poor job. He over-stimulated the economy with cheap money creating asset bubbles, and now he's talking about restarting businesses that will help spread COVID-19.

It's Biden. The people will vote for Biden unless Trump beats this thing now. Trump has the means to deliver, but he must now act quickly. If he fails as he is now--Biden will represent hope, Trump despair.

 

When we talk about Biden in DC, we aren't meaning Washington, we're meaning Diminished Capacity.
There are people here who are so obsessed with their hate and so short on substance and quality to support it they will choose that condition rather than let go of their hatred- that terrible sting that was self-inflicted when they started trashing Trump even before the campaign was on the road, and got their butts kicked. Never has so many made themselves into fools for so long and failed to recognize they are still doing it.
The embarrassment is never going to be relieved by denial and claiming "it ain't so".....So the blind hate obsession goes on and on, losing over and over.

You're babbling. We can support shut down businesses with forgivable loans, make sure workers get enough of what they earned to pay their rent or mortgage, put food on the table, and so on. We have shut down a lot of production because going to a bar, dining out, clubbing, getting a haircut, going on a cruise ... these things kill people. What would should do is match the money people get with what they can buy.

Geez, you really don't get it. We need to take measures to save the economy for the future. Don't get in the way.
