WHO??? You make no sense because your judgement is so clouded by this rabid hatred of Trump. It will be handled by Treasury which is overseen by Congress.

Oh PLEASE spare us the hyperbolic dramatics. Hey how about we shut down the Democrat House and instead have an "independent body" pass the necessary legislation since Pelosi is using her position for political payback and handouts to her support groups?

I'll be the oversight, I'll be the oversight. We're gonna make good deals.” -DJT

Steven Mnuchin overseas the treasury, while he was confirmed by the Senate congress does not directly oversee him. He was appointed by trump and reports to him as a cabinet official.
The president* has indicated that the executive branch will be the one overseeing the program.

    Not going to happen.

    Sure, amend the constitution.
    Good luck.

Y’all shouldn't have given the House away in 2018 if your desire was to write laws unilaterally and without restrictions.

Then nothing is going to happen 'cuz it's the cornerstone of any legislation, AND the same plan with Mnuchin running things was in the House proposal. See post #153 with a screen shot.

The House proposal had requirements and regulations for the funds.
    The Senate version did not.

This crisis may just give way to that. An open representative democracy to overrule the rule of Pelosi.

Congress has refused to support the workers and small businesses it has crushed with this economic shutdown.
The shutdown should end - immediately.

Who wrote and voted for the bill that they gave him to sign?

TARP was signed by Bush in late 2008, and it was repaid to the Treasury in full with interest. porkulus was passed by the :democrat: in early 2009 and obozo the scumbag signed it. 100% :democrat:. Not a single :gop: voted for it. It was nothing but a raid on the wealth of the nation, and the $ was lost into the corrupt :democrat: wormhole.

You realize in a representative democracy the Democrats have the advantage, correct? The last time republicans won a first year presidential election was decades ago...

Trump can't be trusted, which is the truth.

It is also immaterial because he has to sign the bill. He would have to resign if he did not sign it.

    WRONG!

Kyl and Alexander voted for it:

But two party leaders, Sens. Jon Kyl of Arizona and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, supported the request.

Why are you making stuff up?

Nothing personal, of course. Just a friendly inquiry.

    Carry on.:salute:

I meant it passed the House without :gop: votes. Oops.

House passage on the package came on a 246-183 vote—with no support from Republicans. Senate action followed on a 60-38 roll call that stretched for five hours in a near-empty chamber as Sen. Sherrod Brown flew back on a government plane from his mother's wake in Ohio.

Three Republican moderates (RHINO scum)—Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine and Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania—voted for the bill. But with Sen. Edward Kennedy (D., Mass) ill with cancer, Brown became the needed 60th vote, forcing him to shuttle back and forth between Washington and Ohio where his mother’s funeral is Saturday.

Obozo is expected to sign the measure Tuesday in Denver.
