No, it's not just a matter of time. It's a matter of time and population density.

Communicative diseases travel through a dispersed(rural) population much slower than they rip through dense(urban) populations, and the slower the Wang Flu moves, the easier it is to deal with.

    Science.

They even understood these basic facts hundreds of years ago, which is why the city aristocracy would jump in their horse-drawn coaches and head to their country estates at the first sign of outbreaks in London, Paris, etc....

Sorry to harsh your "The rural rubes will suffer!" fantasies, but thems the facts.

You PROVE my assertion, that the urban folks are to be sacrificial lambs, by those RURAL folks that are Trump faithful, and Fox watchers.

Fare no better at what? Delivering healthcare services to a nation.

Well, you certainly got that one wrong. Most studies have given higher points to National Healthcare Services than to the US - the only outstanding exception ...

The truth is in the factual evidence of any difference of opinion.

When people are blind the evidence, then they deserve the consequences. And the US does exactly that as regards National Health Care, which has show demonstrably that when adopted it leads to longer life-spans.

Of course, if you're pleased with a shorter life-span than most developed countries in the US, then that is surely your business.

But I would not trumpet that bit of patent idiocy too loudly ...

Biased studies, and we are discussing national healthcare versus the US' during the corona virus crisis, and not some other political talking point. You are mistaken, then.

After fighting over rationed toilet paper, why not apply the same to healthcare? Brilliant!

Urban dwellers are indeed going suffer the brunt of the virus pain, but it's your own fault for bunching up in clusters like penned livestock.

    2016_electionresult.png

    Lambs indeed.

It's not Trump's or Fox News' fault that your cram yourselves into tight clusters, now is it? You do it to yourselves.

I've watched videos out of China recently of people eating in these live markets. It's utterly astounding to see someone pick up a very much alive large frog, rip off the head with their teeth and chow down. Watched a woman do similar to a live chicken. :cynic:

Yes, it is free to each individual seeking it BECAUSE it is a Public Service. And paid for out of general taxation. Whilst Uncle Sam pisses his tax-revenues down a huge-hole by means of the DoD-expenditures that consumes 57% of the total Discretionary Budget:

Having fun "sealing"? On our tax-dollars spent on a National Healthcare Service that you get free-gratis-and-for-nothing working for the DoD... !

I have medicare part a and b, and a supplemental part d plus. While it is FULLY socialized care, and fully adequate, you would deem it unsatisfactory, and assume I will die of malpractice. Far from it. When I had the regular, I would have died, as I lost my job covered and cannot pay thru the fricken nose for cobra. And so, I would be dead, but for the Expanded medicaide from Obama. He saved my life.

Yes, but Medicare is not the same as the proposed M4ALL or NHS.

Yes, but unless you are working for Uncle Sam, you don't get free Healthcare either.

So, just what are cackling about? Try to make a living like anybody else, and you'll see the advantage of working for Uncle Sam who is raking in the money that could be better spent on National Healthcare rather than the Seals ...

56% of the total Discretionary Budget goes to just one government entity. The DoD. (Where's the world-war?)

Hell, we have had Hantavirus in my state for nearly 30 years. I believe the first case in ‘93. And please elaborate on “Trump’s laxing of meat inspection laws”.

Yeah, the US has a bunch of viruses and other infectious agents no one talks about.

As far as Trump that's well documented so I don't to waste space in this thread.

Obamacare may have been done with good intentions, however, in spite of record profits for pharm companies, Americans are sicker than ever.

COVID patients don't need just a bed, what they need is an ICU bed.

Italy has 12.5 ICU beds per 1000.

America has 34.7 ICU beds per 1000, which is more than any other country in the world.

    Those numbers are flexible too.

In the hospital where I'm working right now, we converted a 40-room department into full ICU rooms with negative air pressure and complete monitoring and life support equipment in a matter of two weeks.

And that's just one mid-sized ghetto hospital.

    'Merica!
