I have one that is a stupid pre virus strategy. I live near a very liberal city filled with young "politicians" with ideals of unicorns and rainbows. They are heavily pushing the removal of cars from the roads by eliminating all the on-street parking and closing one public parking ramp after another. They have built a light rail system in order to be "more like the European model". They have banned all disposable plastic bags in order to save the whales, and they promote through my tax dollars high density, low or no income compact condo living. Since this virus, you haven't heard one peep out of these idiots as, the light rail over the last ten years has become a transportation system for young urban youths that like to rob and beat up people. The locals who do ride call it the vomit comet.
The cloth grocery bags we are required to drag around are now found to be carriers of the virus and the super high-density housing is precisely where the majority of virus cases are breaking out.
God bless these leftie dreamers, without them, I would have no need to carry a gun.

Except for the fact that they are. Especially in present times when convicted criminals are being released from jail early, and law enforcement is responding to fewer and fewer calls.

The people are literally on their own, without government protection.

 

That would require parents to care for their children.

 

I wonder what they do on weekends and holidays.

 

Drop the kids off at the grandparents-cause its party time.

 

It’s my belief that rap music came from crack head moms parking their kids in front of Sesame Street where they were inundated with simple rhymes to learn their alphabet, to count, to add, subtract. Etc.
Kind of like school house rock was for us.

I think the problem has been the observance of groups of people gathering at these parks and recreation areas.

Don't know about out their but I know some of ours have gathering areas, parking areas picnic benches other facilities. I'm not going to second guess what they have observed.

 

Neither option is particularly viable. One is essentially an endangered species, as there are fewer and fewer every single year. The other would likely incur the wrath of the environmental protection agency.

 

Simple -

Allow walking / hiking only.
Close off the picnic areas.

These areas do not create the crowd density that beaches & pier do.
Social distancing with exercise and fresh air too.

 

They closed down a huge pier here that people like to walk on because groups were gathering on the pier and parking lot. They can't have 24 hour monitoring. So like I said I'm not going to second guess other areas.

 

That's ridiculous. The police are still doing their job.

 

Except for when they are not. Especially in the states where property theft below a certain monetary value, and forcibly hijacking motor vehicles, are no longer being treated as prosecutable offenses.
