Doesn’t change anything we are both shareholders, we don’t control them.

I disagree I don’t think hard working employees, like maids, cooks, waiters et al should suffer because the dems hate they lost the 2016 election.

but I do what this relief package passed...so If the left has to be that petty so be it

It isn't just Dirty Donny that can't benefit from this - it is all members of the House and the Senate.

This is what happens when you don’t follow precedent and set your company up in a blind trust...

His employees will still receive the same benefits as anyone so it is disingenuous to act like this would harm them.

Do you understand the difference between being the owner or primary shareholder vs being a stockholder?

Congress and the White House have several provisions carved out that benefit their personal interests over the nation — it is about time the opposite is true. If a “multi-billionaire” lets his properties go under then they were probably headed in that direction anyway.

Yes I understand did they make such specification in the bill, what if you are the 49% stockholder? And they will profit as merely a stockholder why make the distinction?

Dirty Donald's July 2018 trip to his Turnberry Scotland golf course cost tax payers $950,000 JUST for Secret Service air fare, lodging, rental cars and golf cart rental fees and overtime pay. A two day trip almost ONE MILLION DOLLARS charged to taxpayers. And this is just the Secret Service charges.

You mean like "internetz riots"? Is that where they stand in their basement and scream at the floor joists above them?

People are not going to resorts because of virus fears, these people will be fired or laid off regardless.
The loans are to keep companies from shuttering because they did not have sufficient savings to cover a lapse in business — companies will not retain employees that they do not need.

You can have 49% and still be the majority ownership. But this is bad practice because it leaves them open to a takeover so it is almost unheard of for someone to have that level of controlling interest.

This was a political mistake on the Dem's part.

They could've got tons of mileage out of squawking about how the bailout of corporations was Trump putting ALL THE MONEYS INTO HIS OWN POCKET!

But, instead, they went with the quick and cheap score of denying the Trump family a few bucks, and they gave Trump total immunity from "profiteering" criticism in the process.

    A golden slandering opportunity squandered.

Well clearly you never ran a business. The loans are for the businesses to stay afloat so that people have jobs to come back to, or to continue to pay with payroll

I,m now reading online that hidden in the language of this bill is a provision that both Jared Kushner and the Dirty Donald family can profiteer from.

Keep your day job, your psychic powers are lacking...
So you believe business are going to keep employees with no customers? Pay them to do nothing?
The loans are to keep the business solvent, not retain unneeded employees.
How many businesses do you own?

BS. Businesses do not hire people unless they are needed.
They do not keep people unless they are needed.
This will be reflected in the future unemployment numbers — even after the $2T is dolled out.

How are Grants entered in the journal? I assume as revenue & receivables?

But I think I read they are giving payroll grants? I assume loans are to pay liabilities?

Speaking from a position that employs a large number of employees, most employers do care about their staff, at least, if not more, that they aren't unnecessarily harmed from this. Yes, some have been laid off. Others are working minimal hours, but allowed to eat for free (all inclusive family up to 4 members) twice a day, even if they aren't working.

Because there will be an eventual return to business. Maybe lesser than before, but businesses will still need employees, and some business owners also see employees as humans.
