It's probably easier for you to just sit, watch and listen to someone speak rather than read all those words.

Dr. Fauci answers just about every question anyone has about Covid-19 including why it's vastly more dangerous than a regular seasonal flu.

I love how this is being presented as some sort of righteous punishment being smitten upon E-vile AmeriKKKa!

There will soon be 100,000 CONFIRMED cases in America, because America is currently testing(confirming) like crazy.

Just because other countries aren't confirming COVID cases, that doesn't mean it's not already there and doing what it does.

This isn't America's plague, this is a WORLD PANDEMIC.

And look at the attitudes some other countries in the world(who are barely testing/confirming) are adopting in regards to this shared disaster.

Are the experts shutting down grocery stores and restaurants? Are you accusing the good people delivering groceries to seniors of being murderers?

~ I believe the U.S. is close to peak infection rate at this very moment. I think the medication coming to us from Israel will help greatly - as will efforts of folks to stay home as much as possible. However it does seem likely that psychological effects of Coronavirus Mania will linger for some people long after ..

Your right that is range safety when target shooting. Same thing with leaving the safety engaged until your on target with the firearm.

But defensive shooting (the only kind I truly care about) is not one where your follow those types of rules as strictly for clear reasons. I can not imagine leaving the safety engaged until I identified a threat for example. Safety will be off long before that.

I'm not expressing this well. Long shift at work today, I am still get to work, extra hours and days even. Being essential isn't all that grand sometimes! Sorry I did not mean to be a jerk towards you.

"the ENTIRE ****ing HEALTH COMMUNITY" does NOT know what the actual transmission / hospitalization / death rates are. They don't have the data necessary to calculate those rates. The numbers they do have are based on the # of "confirmed cases", which, again, is a polite way of confessing they don't know what the denominator is for those rates.

This is true, which is why it might be logical to say that we don't know if this or the flu is worse (in various ways) because we have incomplete data in both cases. It does not support the sort of claims of certainty ("it's way worse than the common flu. Objectively.") that yardmeat was making.

~ Yes exactly. Example : A crash of a lamp and an intruder enters your home through a window at night. Safety off - finger on trigger ready to shoot. Not the same circumstance when at the range ...

There is little point to preventing inter-state travel because this thing is in all states now, but I'm ok with it if it reduces infections. I like to know where your death predictions are coming from. The virus has a death rate of more like .5% which means if 10%, or 30 million are infected, that is 150,000 deaths compared to 50,000 for the common flu and 40,000 for car accidents.

They have estimates and they, along with everyone else willing to put objective reality over feelings knows that they are much higher. I don't know much taller Shaq is than Elijah Wood, but complaining that, because I'd only be estimating how many inches rather than giving your the exact number means that I can't really say Shaq is taller is just nonsense.

Well damn, call the press! In my state of New Mexico the experts are expecting a peak around mid/late April. Can I give them your number so we can open the state up again?

The adults out there are taking proper precautions instead of placing their feelings over the best available information we have, which yes, says this virus is very, very bad. Yes, we will make it through this. I don't hear anyone saying otherwise. Listen to the grown ups in the medical field on this one instead of the kids who had to put people at risk because it would be totally unfair to miss spring break.

If I was I wouldn't have "No Trespassing" signs up. It takes too long to bury someone. It takes all the fun out of it.

    Stupid questions get stupid answers.

No it’s full of “we don’t know enough about this virus” followed by models on how it will progress.
    Silly

My great friend, the title of your thread is misleading and exaggerated. First, nobody has predicted its coming. Secondly, there is no bloodshed as though the patients are beheaded or quartered by the Grim Reaper. The only so-called bloodshed may be tiny traces of blood found in some victims' phlegm or saliva.

The victims just depart without any chance to say a word after their last gasp.

i'm pretty sure doc and science already said this is just a beginning, or are you one of those kids similar to those spring breaker, said "if i get coronavirus ill get coronavirus, not gonna stop party" lol. at least Trump taking it seriously now, and most governor are taking seriously too. do you know italy basically stop saving ppl older than 60s, and make decision in real time on who get ventilators.

    next week gonna hit 200,000

Yes, the so-called Wuhan flu is surely insignificant when compared to the horrific Kansas flu which killed 50 to 100 million people in 1918. :skull:

About half of those cases are in New York. Maybe their Governor should have handled the situation better ...
