I know exactly what I posted. The congressional voting record for every single bill from 2001-2007 which attempted to regulate fanny/Freddy. All of which were killed by republicans.

Yes, it's a bit alarming to see so much wishful thinking .. but it's understandable. We're used to things 'bouncing back' in our safe, well-fed First World.

I suspect nowhere near enough people quite grasp that this is as big a game changer as happens in a millenium, in terms of human culture. Our grandchildren's grandchildren will do life differently as a result.

 

About every 100 yrs, something, happens that changes the world, a historical event that is a marker of great change. I doubt if most people living through it at the time realize it though, normalcy bias is very powerful.

 

It's an interesting process to watch, certainly. I'm daily stunned anew, by just how much complacency there is from people who really should be pulling out all stops to adjust their lives for a different future. Incredible levels of denial going on.
