Biden had growing national presence after his primary wins. He has zero now. Nor will he get it back as C19 will dominate the news for months to come. He is dead in the water, no way he recovers from this.

Whatever chance Biden had to win is gone.

I see his prospects quite differently. The 2020 election will still be, overwhelmingly, a referendum on Trump. After 4 years of Trumpery, Americans yearn for a return to normalcy and decency, and, no matter how many vile names Trump contrives for Biden, he represents a return to stable civility and an antidote to the tawdry delusory narcissist.

Trump's continual fake, rosy prognostications concerning the pandemic, and the collapse of the economy for which he has been fraudulently arrogating credit, will have their impact.

Yeah as we come out of C19 and things return to normal people are going to just be all kinds of upset.
No doubt they will vote for yet more change and uncertainty with a new POTUS, especially one with Joe’s charisma.

    Your in an fantasy land.

ROFL Biden sitting in his home office with a crappy camera pointed at him acting like HE is in charge and people should be calling him while showing the dementia that is creeping in on him? Return to table civility as it vote out the party of baselessly impeaching a President because they lost the election?

He really is asking people to call him personally with mortgage issues. Let that sink in lefties, your guy is asking people to call him about late house payments. Personally. Cause he has nothing else to do...during a crisis....

Trump worshippers are incapable of imagining a nation rid of their heartthrob, but predictions are foolish.

The U.S. is not a dictatorship like China. The U.S. is not a tiny country like Italy and give how the virus has hit Italy so hard I'm not sure why you want to use it as an example.

The president is the leader of the UNITED STATES. Not New York. Not California. State governors are responsible for things and can do things within their state boundaries that presidents cannot do barring the most dire of emergencies (and this hardly qualifies).

Trump critics have gone utterly mindless in their hatred for the president and disdain for his supporters.

Worse than the presidents like Pierce and Buchanan who helped cause or set the stage for the U.S. Civil War?

Worse than Andrew Johnson who was impeached and nearly removed from office after bungling reconstruction so badly that it set the stage for massive racism across the south for 100 years?

Worse than Lyndon Johnson who mishandled the Vietnam War so badly that led to 59,000 American deaths there and U.S. cities where in flames when he left office?

    Get a freaking grip Thelma.

Your parroting phony hyper-partisan boilerplate aside, Trump fanatics must come to grips with the reality that the future is even more unstable than their deity himself, and decimation attributable to his failure to respond in timely fashion to the pandemic, and his repeated, documented fake claims concerning it, coupled with a collapse of the economy for which he has pretended to be uniquely responsible, could spell the rejection of further Trumpery.

Belief in a second term is as unjustified as falsely claiming that the pandemic is "under control" and that it will just "go away," when in fact, it was about to begin wreaking havoc in America.

For what it's worth, as of yesterday, polls still show Biden ahead of Trump, but it's far to soon to pretend the election is predictable.

Trump haters are not capable of admitting he will win again.

I did not vote for him in 16. I think he is a arrogant asshat. But he will win. And he much better than anything the Dems have to offer.

The rollercoaster ride from "It's under control!" and "It'll go away!", through stomach-churning plunges into brutal reality, to Trump's asinine boasts that he is doing a "terrific job!", to his monumental economic collapse, as he lead the nation to the coveted "Epicenter of the Coronavirus" status, has been quite the disorienting journey for lickspittles deprived of their pep rally libidinous fixes.

I don't know how Anthony "Deep State" Fauci can keep up with the widespread demand for dramamine.

Perhaps you are not familiar with world history, but even great leaders (Winston Churchill as an example) have made repeated extremely overly optimistic public statements even when disasters were occurring.

As I said earlier it appears G.W. overstepped his authority back on 9-11-2001 when New York City lost the twin towers. Apparently he should have stayed out and let the Governor of New York handle the matter.

    Optimism is justified.

Perhaps you are not familiar with the reality that irresponsible and unrealistic statements that betray a resolve to avoid taking urgently needed actions are not.

And yet, every time I've researched their assessment of a media source, they've been spot on. And in this case, every source that I googled agreed. Did you bother to do your own research? Yeah ... I thought not.

Your reply is predictable. When you can't refute the facts, blame the source.

Well maybe if the Dems didn't have the WH having to fully commit itself to defending against a bogus impeachment when all this were breaking......................Perhaps if Biden hadn't called him racist and xenophobe and the MSM going along with it when he banned travel from China. Perhaps if China and WHO hadn't been downplaying it and China out right lying and prohibiting our CDC people from coming there.........

But of course it is Trump who is responsible for this global health emergency.....................how absurd

FWIW the polls show a statistical dead heat and Trumps numbers continue to improve

You think Bush took over the first responders and rescue efforts and the hospitals? Where'd you get that idea?

Many here do not understand federalism or have ever lived through an emergency like a hurricane that brings massive destruction and hardship.

Trump brought impeachment on himself, knowing that he would be given a pass by his fart catchers in the Senate, may be something to snivel about, I suppose, however, the consequences of his failure to lead and avoid the spread of the pandemic, and consequent economic collapse, may be more germane.

Trump's failure to stop Americans from returning from China is only one aspect of his refusing to take the threat seriously enough, as we go from his "It's under control!" lie to his leading the nation to "Global Epicenter of the Pandemic" status.

    Typical myopic leftist.

The party line vote to impeach by the House was legit, the party line vote in the Senate was different...

And cry about letting Americans return to America while not mentioning the travel ban by Trump in China months ago.

Worthless post by you due to it biased ones sided BS.

Well of course. What you have is a bunch of leftist groups running around fact checking eachother, calling themselves left of center when they are really far left then calling all their opinion articles fully fact checked.

    Fox guarding the hen house...

Ohh and by the way. Even Trump is left of center.

The fact remains however hindsight is 20/20. Trump has done a good job of getting out of the way and letting people do their jobs.. there is little to nothing he could have done to slow or change the outcome of this virus.

By far the biggest thing at C19 will be the economic recovery. Trump will have vastly more support on that than Joe will. The Dem and their stupid Green Deal and it’s radical changes will be a stone around their ankle dragging them under in Nov.

Americans will not support that type of economic upheaval in the midst of a shattered economy.
