Or they just did not engage in purely and utterly selective memory. Here is my own (non-exhaustive) list of Trump not taking it seriously. With sources.

Trump and his political appointees repeatedly lied about the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly downplayed the threat of the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly touted the benefits of the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly contradicted health experts: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly placed the lives of Americans at greater health risk: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly slowed the start of testing because of ineptitude and political self-interest: 1 and 2.
They dismantled the epidemic response team, attempted to cut health budgets, and dismissed the expert on Chinese Viruses: 1, 2 and 3.
They repeatedly politicized the virus: 1, 2 and 3.

    No he isn't.

Here's one that took me about five seconds to find:

"In response to the travel ban, Schumer tweeted on Feb. 5, “The premature travel ban to and from China by the current administration is just an excuse to further his ongoing was against immigrants. There must be a check and Balance (sic) on these restrictions.”

On March 7th, Trump said that anyone who wants a test can get a test.

On March 6th, the total number of confirmed cases in New York was 6 explicitly because there were not enough tests.

Did you happen to notice that the tweet you found did not actually exist?

Take more than 5 seconds next time.

...You want to tout the partial travel restrictions as a great piece of evidence, but think it is petty and hypercritical to discuss more recent statements from trump?

If only America was South Korea, huh?

    image-asset.jpeg

Tiny country. Tiny population. Surrounded by a moat. Most secure border wall in the world. 99% ethnically-homogeneous population. Governance bordering on the draconian.

What can't America be more like South Korea?

Paul7 is demonstrating why Trump is going to be voted out in November and the entire government will go blue.

No. They quoted a pre-publication of a study from China which said that they had no definitive evidence of human to human transmission. China confirmed that it had found such definitive evidence one week later.

Let's compare America to South Korea on a per capita, per million basis. That line starts on the day that they each hit 1000 cases.

    upload_2020-3-30_12-36-50.png

No, the primary reason why South Korea's slope looks so much better is because they took the **** serious early and started testing and quarantining as much as possible, as early as possible.

Wait, are you claiming my link for worldmeter does not track daily cases?

New cases in Louisiana went from near 560 on Saturday to 225 on Sunday. That is factual. Please someone get this guy a calculator.

It's far more a matter of all the other things I pointed out that you ignored.

Comparing South Korea to America is like comparing New York City to Cheyenne Wyoming.

Why is the body count so much higher in NYC than in Cheyenne? I guess Cheyenne took it far more seriously, huh?

One day does not constitute a sample. You really need at least several days to determine a trend.

BTW, Alabama is being mentioned as the next hot spot.

    https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/health-official-warns-churches-are-becoming-coronavirus-hot-spots/

Why are churches ignoring warnings? Easy peasy. They tend to be big fans of the liar trump who gladly sent them to their deaths.

I never called it a trend, I made the statement that cases were down for yesterday, not only in LA, but also in CA, AR, NY and even Italy. Those are the main ones I track so there could be more. I was responding to a poster who kept arguing that Louisiana's cases were up yesterday and then claimed that my link was junk. I realize it upsets some that cases are down. That's what this country has come to.

Sorry T your just incorrect, it was taken seriously you're nitpicking to score political points. You were claiming 20,000,000 infected in America based on your analysis of the models, we only have 19,999,840 to go. The left claimed racism on Jan. 31 when the China travel restrictions went into place, most other countries followed Trumps lead, it then expanded to other countries. The Whitehouse put out a strong statement on the 31st as well. Created Scientific and government task force. Killed regulations for rapid testing of vaccination and treatment. Immediately began daily governors calls to insure logistics success. Gave daily updates to the American people. Created a 4 point system to slow the spread, everyone in the world has heard of hand washing 20 secs, social distancing etc. Declared the virus a national emergency, opened up the defense department supplies for local use. on and on and on. You have heard from the head scientist DAILY if you wanted to and nothing to contradict if you watched. Things change and scientist/Dr's opinions and projections change as well.

Lee County is 70% white. So cut the racist crap.

This is about trumpers who are ignoring common sense, attending church, and spreading the virus, no doubt directly because of trump.

No. Population Density explains the difference.

But South Korea has cities with a population density roughly equivalent to NYC. And the country as a whole has a much higher population density than the US.

First off, your 19,999,840 to go implies that the number of infected currently is 160. So excuse me for saying what the ****?

Second, the total number of confirmed US infected is 150k. And given the likelihood that there as many as 10 unknown for every known, that puts the US already at ~1.5 million.
