It really makes you wonder where Trump's head is at when thinking about his dwindling prospects for Re-Election.

    1) Michigan is a Must-Win State for him in the Fall.

So one would think that he would do everything possible to not antagonize Michigan's Citizens.

    2) So, given that dynamic, why would Trump openly denigrate (and pick a fight with) a Popular Woman Governor?

Especially given Trump's History of Misogyny and Bullying Tactics toward Female Politicians (Carly Fiorina, Etc.).

    3) Why is Trump kissing Michigan goodbye (and giving himself ZERO Chance to win Michigan in the Fall) by these attacks against Whitmer?

Trump is either taking some really bad advice or he has no idea what he is doing.

In the meantime, he has elevated Whitmer to Rock Star status.

Trump should leave politics (and Condescending, Misogynistic Comments) out of the Virus response, and do his job (instead of engaging in Petty Twitter Wars).

    Thoughts?

Popular? I beg to differ. Michigan is a purple State(or leaning towards Purple.) While I live in the heavily blue(for reasons I'll never know, considering the Democratic Party proliferated Detroit to the tune of millions, literally millions.) city of Detroit. I know enough to say there's conservative areas like the Grand Rapids.

And her stunts have not made her more popular within the area. In fact, they encouraged me that I should in fact run for Governor when this is over.

LOL, Trump isn't risking much rightly criticizing an unpopular governor, your crush on her notwithstanding. See https://patch.com/michigan/across-mi/most-popular-governors-how-whitmer-ranks-popularity

"Whitmer was ranked one of the least popular governors, according to the list, coming in no. 43 overall. As of December 2019, Whitmer's approval rating was 42 percent. At its highest, Whitmer's disapproval rating was 39 percent."

They're just giving her a tryout to see about putting her on the ticket with Quid Pro Joe.

But she decided to saddle up a gimp horse, playing physician.

In a time where democrats should work with Republicans, of course the dems instead make this a competition and pull out one of their cards.

Whitmer is much more popular that Trump in Michigan.

Whitaker Won her Race in 2018 by Almost 10 Points (53.3 to 43.8.)

Trump barely won in 2016 by 0.2% (47.5 to 47.3).

47.5% is probably Trump's Ceiling in Michigan.

And without a 3rd Party Candidate (like Stein) siphoning off Dem. Votes, Trump doesn't have a prayer of holding onto Michigan.

Trump refused to invite any Democrats to the Stimulus Bill signing despite the law passing with unanimous support...

She won in an era of the Mueller Investigation, which BTW I'm still pissed about. You wanna talk about government waste of funds, how about wasting 33 million dollars according to the FBI for a "low threshold" conversation at a pub that ultimately didn't materialize anything.

Let me put it this way: I saw INFINITELY more value in the 2.1 trillion dollar package, then the 33 million dollars of waste and fraud.

That's unfortunate. What came around went around. Like everything else the democrats have put Americans through for more than a century, expect more of this to happen.

    It works both ways.

And, WHEN Trump Loses in November, expect the Dems. to answer in-kind.

Gary Johnson took Trump votes. We're talking Whitmer's popularity NOW, not what she won by two years ago with the Russia hoax tailwinds at her back.

The dems are getting exactly what they've been giving. You must not understand how karma works.

I'm surprised it took this long. I would've snapped much sooner. These people have actively sought to make the project of government worse, just to stick it to Trump and the ones who lose isn't Trump, but their constituents. He has a bigger heart than people think, given that it took him 3 years to get to the level of anger on the level with Democrats.

    Johnson's votes were relatively split.

Stein's came 100% out of Clinton.

Trump won by less than 11,000 and Stein got over 51,000. Case closed.

Trump doesn't have a prayer of winning MI in the fall.

His ceiling is about 48% (if He is lucky).

Despite what the polls may say, Trump supporters are way more enthusiastic than Sleepy Joe's. Trump is clearly the best choice to restart the economy after this is all over.

Remember 15% of Bernie supporters will be voting for Trump.

It just comes down to whether there are more makers or takers.
