You mentioned free community college. College degrees are becoming less and less helpful in finding real jobs because so many classes are just fluff and don't reach real life technical skills that exployers want. An associates of arts degree is just a glorified high shool diploma and doesn't give you real life skills.

We should instead focus on technical schools, boot camps, marketable degrees, co-ops, apprenticeships, and internships. You can do a programming bootcamp for a year and get a real nice software developer job, or spend six years doing some liberal arts nonsense degree and end up delivering for pizza hut.

 

Good idea just edited it to allow for people to get trade school if they wish.

You understand that politics is more about marketing, pubic relations, who you know, and getting people with money to back you than it is about whatever platform you choose to run on?

You need to contact the Democrat Socialists and the Justice Democrats to interview you and throw some money and marketing and PR people behind you. If they like you, they will groom you into a candidate. Justice Democrats is the group which discovered actress Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after they put out a casting call for candidates. You know that right? She didn't just go from being a bartender slinging margarita's into the House of Representatives. She was discovered in a casting call, then trained in the platform's talking points.

It's nice that you believe in the Socialist policies you think are right, but whatever philosophy you pick is a teeny part of being successful in an election.

Look at some credible candidates' webpages. They don't look like a homemade page thrown together on a free web hosting site.

Look at the Progressive Socialist guy who is challenging Nancy Pelosi....Shahid Buttar. He's clearly got some money-people backing him (even if his logo reminds me of the Oscar Mayer Weiner logo).

Fortunately the strike she was backing against Amazon turned out to be a dud. A discontented Amazon employee at its Staten Island warehouse, only inspired 15 workers to participate on Monday.

There are 5,000 employees at the warehouse. Fortunately the leader of the walkout is in the minority and the bulk are not trying to leverage their much-needed services against the demands in which companies find themselves in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Not only did the walk-out fail, but the clown organizing it was fired.

This Clown that tried to organize the strike had been exposed to COVID so was supposed to be home drawing sick leave, but instead he tried to organize a strike. When he showed up at the warehouse to walk-out, he was fired for violating instructions to stay home and self-quarantine.

“Despite that instruction to stay home with pay, he came on site today, March 30, further putting the teams at risk. This is unacceptable and we have terminated his employment as a result of these multiple safety issues,” ​

You want to take on the second amendment? Anyone who buys a firearm from a dealer has to fill out a questionnaire that asks if the purchaser has hand any mental treatment. The wrong answer denies the sale. Every person who buys a firearm from a dealer is checked against the ATF database. In other words the backgroud check is already in place. Perhaps you should limit your platform to state and local issues and issues about which you have some expertise.. You will have no power to affect federal government or the constitution.
