Yup....he’s a criminal. He’s been paying fines and restitution for decades for acknowledged criminal behavior.

    Ok, since you asked...

I was born into a Catholic family but raised in a Baptist church and school by way of bussing back in 1973. I was a fairly devout Christian up until I got into high school. Then in the year I graduated from HS, my mother was killed in an auto accident and it began my questioning of my faith. I spent several years going far deeper into the origins of Christianity than I was ever taught in my Christian school, and what I found out was how misinformed and naive was my pastor and church. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Jesus Christ was ever an actual human being, and the Biblical gospels are so contradictory as to be useless as any type of forensic chronicle.

It was at that point in my life I began recognizing myself as an agnostic, but I still had issues regarding accepting that "this is all there is", so I turned to New Age beliefs thinking like many do that they can be spiritual without the need for religion. Unfortunately, even New Age beliefs require a lot of faith and imagination to justify it.

It's only within the last 20 years that I have become comfortable with calling myself an atheist, but I have also stopped attacking those of faith indiscriminately (a common occurrence for most atheist). I have come to understand, probably as a result of getting older, that some people need religion like I need blood pressure medication. It's their way of coping with all the illogical things life throws our way. Where I draw the line is when those people try to force their beliefs into my life or the public square.

Naive. Fraud is a crime.....paying a fine and restitution and agreeing to payoff a civil lawsuit can avoid criminal indictment. Trump university and his fraudulent charity aren’t crimes ? Bet your asteroid they are.
No, I never committed fraud. You can speak for yourself. You don’t seem to know much about criminal behavior.

Similar upbringing. Still a practicing Catholic because the family is. I make no bones about being agnostic but still see the value of community the church offers and the charity work that our family is involved with. That I like about church. To me, it’s a community and charitable organization.
Over the years I have had good friends who are priests and ex priests. We don’t talk religion when we play golf. I joke with them, “ you’d better pray to God I don’t beat your butt today again. It will do no good though.”
I must confess, it’s been good to be a member of a church in the work I did for years in order to develop a connection. You’d be amazed how many agnostics are members of a church for reasons other then religion.
For me, I never remember not being agnostic.

Good. It is not my job to force my beliefs on you......just to point to them. It is up to God whether or not to convict you. Your hardship overcame any faith you had. Weve all had hardships. I too lost my mother. So you searched and now abide in the sources that appealed to you. No different than myself. Wish for you the best Lucifer.
Note: of my three sons, one is headed in much the direction as you. I do love him.

Have known that from the beginning. It is why I read the Word long before I attended Church. I knew I would need to discern human nature far better than I knew and a lot of Church is just folks playing games. I know a lot of good Catholics. I even had a Irish/Catholic neighbor that had me be a godfather to his son. I met with his Priest, had a whiskey toast, and it became official. However, I am denied communion in Roman Catholic Churches because I am just a "follower of Christ" not a member of a club.

All religions are “ clubs”. They are remnants from days gone by before countries had organized govts with police forces to control the behavior of the masses by the rich. Pretty good at collecting voluntary “taxes” for their services. Not a bad way to make a living for the more talented con artist. Some are really good golf players In more recent times too....they have so much free time.

Of course you’re denied communion in a Catholic Church if you don’t go through the sacramental process and get instruction in the faith.

Look at the rich pricks who have dodged prosecution for years and they're still admitted criminals. They committed crimes and admit it. The system is geared to keeping them out of jail. Realistically, Ted Kennedy committed involuntary manslaughter, then left the scene of an accident where someone died which is a felony. That’s jail time for 99% of the public. But for Teddy, it just meant he couldn’t run for president and had to be a senator for the rest of his life.

I've had far more instruction from the teachings of the scriptures as taught by Jesus and the Apostles than you ever received from your club membership and the traditions of men. Communion is between an individual and his Lord. Don't need permission from a bunch of men in funny hats. They do that for power over their subjects. Sometime read Foxes Book of Martyrs and see what the "club" has to offer.

    Ha ha
Scripture ? What makes that so special ? It’s the writings from self promotional men. The man made laws of later churches just became “Scripture” for future generation for all religions....look at Mormonism. “Scripture” for them is what has happened in the 1800’s, more made up s.h.i.t. Same as the Koran for Islam. Pick a guy with an agenda and make up religious folklore from his followers, and call it “scripture” or what ever else works.

It’s funny, since the advent of recording devices, no more religious scripture has been promoted onto the masses.

Faith, by definition, is lack of evidence. Scripture is just faith in a few guys, making up s.h.i.t to control the masses. It admittedly worked for the Jews in the Old Testament. They admit today they are just parables for Promoting behavior. But Christians keep hanging on to their’s .......minus the stoning . ,

At least I am factual about the club membership I belong to. It’s a social organization that does a few very good things for its members, and some really horrible consequences over time that arise from clinging to indifference in an attempt to keep its wealth. They include everything from supporting and condoning wars to child abuse. Much the same thing today with evangelicals who support the criminality of the gop and Trump.

I tend to agree that the anti-Christ will be more intelligent....in a cunning way.
I don't see Trump as divisive. But those who object to his Christianity and his desire to empower America might.

Interesting choice of Usernames tho. I would guess your anger runs quite deep. Just sayin.
That said, what happened to you could and does make many become agnostic or even atheist. It's probably a natural reaction.

These people, who represent themselves in this forum are simply not jobs. Really, if they approach ever thread and every post with Trump Bad, they need to get some medication or see a psych.

In short, you know that crazy homeless person walking around mumbling non-sense? These people exist here too.

Trump isn’t bad. He’s a typical con artist that are found everywhere, including the business world. He’s misplaced as president by a power hungry consortium known as the gop that cheats to win elections. The biggest cheater and liar got nominated. That’s Trump. Let’s face it, any group that disbelieves science and promotes voter suppression, is only an apartheid government founded on corruption.
